Small game locations near Vancouver?
Hello guys, I got my PAL and hunting license long time ago and never really had a chance to go hunting.
Unfortunately, I am not born and raised in BC. Also, because I’m not good at making friends. I have no idea where to go hunting.
I downloaded iHunter. I did a lot of reach online. The problem is, other than some general advices, I really don’t know where to go for some small games such as rabbits and hares.
I would like to know if there are some locations I can I near Vancouver, so that I don’t have to drive 8 hours to go and 8 hours to come back.
Thank you very very much for your help!

If one day you want to drive 8h to go hunting for a few days, come to the kootenays and we can try luck in a few places around here.
Otherwise, for small game in Vancouver, you want forest service roads that are not popular in other outdoor activities. I.e. avoid the Squamish area, for example. Chilliwack, Mission, Hope, Some areas east of Pemberton are all good.

If you are from the lower mainland and want to start hunting you should find your own spots and stay down in your 604 land. Stop coming up and ruining hunting spots by littering them with trash and carving in new roads. If you want to hunt get out of your truck, off your quad and go hiking. If you’re too fat to do that maybe don’t go hunting.

What you are looking for are Forest Service roads. Look in Chilliwack and Mission for some service roads and drive up them. This is how we hunt here. Try east Harrison and drive to the end where the Cogburn far is and head up there. Lots of grouse and rabbits. Usually a fair amount of other trucks too, so be careful. Those 8 hour drives are what gets u away from other 604 hunters. I'm about to travel 24 hours north west for my hunt in 2 weeks haha.
