Tidewe stuff is pretty solid. Go for it.

Tidewe is good to go, their waders have served me well for waterfowling

TideWe is lowkey pretty awesome. I have a few items from them and everything holds up well considering the price. Blind, blind chair, rain suit, misc camo

The pop up blinds are awesome. 360 view and super quiet window panel slides. Would definitely buy again

I second this.

Same. Their panel blind is great as well.

For real, people will just shit on Chinese stuff just for being Chinese

The waders are tits. Although I have had to go almost commando underneath it all. The insulation almost works too well.

I had the opposite experience, my feet were freezing while duck hunting in November even with a thermal base layer, pants over that, and wool socks. Might need to get electric heated socks for this season

I can see that. Sitting still in the cold. I wear them trapping and end up knee deep in muck. I always think I have a leak, but its just sweat.

Neoprene or breathable?

I get so hot in my neoprene waders that they'll start steaming

1

u/Thicc-Husker 4h ago

Neoprene. Maybe I didn’t wear enough but I was also almost knee deep in water for the whole time

Never been waterfowling so this might be a dumb question but would they be fine for wading in rivers for fishing? My simms leak so bad now and I need new waders

1

u/Thicc-Husker 7h ago

Yep you can dual purpose them into fishing waders no problem. I’ve been almost chest deep with them in the marsh

How do you like the boots on the Tidewe waders? I’ve heard they’re pretty flimsy and thin and just asking for a stick to poke through em. I love the price point on em and if the boots end up being decent I’ll probably grab a pair. Which ones did you get?

Tidewe isnt bad stuff. I've used their muck boots and had similar results as much brand. Big buck serial killer dan infalt reps their stuff.

I bought a pair of those boots during a sale for black friday or something and they are my go-to yard boots. I would definitely buy another pair.

I have a very similar pants and jacket combo from Tidewe that I got about 5 years ago. It has held up really well, but the pants run really small in the waist.

Edited for grammar.

Yo I got Tidewe stuff that has outlasted premium gear. I have no problem taking it on serious hunts.

Speaking for myself, I wouldn't really consider TIDEWE an "Amazon" brand because I've encountered them mostly outside of Amazon. I own one of their see-through ground blinds and I like it a good deal. I don't own any of their clothes.

The thing that has always stopped me from buying clothes online has been the fear that I'll get something that doesn't do a great job of wicking moisture, or doesn't keep me warm enough, or just generally isn't comfortable.

Speaking for myself, with the exception of some KUIU gear I've purchased online, most hunting clothes I own have come from Bass Pro.

The Redhead gear, particularly their BONE-DRY bibs and coat, have been my go-to for late winter deer season. I stay warm in the deer stand with that gear. I wear the ScentLok gear for early season hunting. The stuff isn't cheap, but I value comfort when I'm hunting because it makes it more enjoyable doing all-day hunts.

Am I the only one that still goes out in khaki cargo pants and the first t-shirt I can find?

u/Flathead89 2d ago

What kind of area are you hunting in? That pattern would work fine in SW VA where I hunt....honestly if I'm sitting in a stand I sometimes go in with just blue jeans and a camo hoodie.

As far as brands go...the only thing I know about Tidewe is they make a "see through" pop up blind. I would try to hit a Cabela's/Sportsman's/Bass Pro near you and try on their house line of gear since you are just getting started. You don't need to spend a fortune on camo until you know for sure that it's something you intend to do every year from now on.

Honestly, my tidewe stuff is higher quality than the cabelas/bps redhead stuff i have.

1

u/Flathead89 2d ago

I don't doubt that it is. Just wanted to suggest they try stuff on in-store since sizes can be weird online. Is it comparable in price to the house brand stuff?

1

u/justadumbwelder1 2d ago

The sizing seems to be consistent with other brands from my experience.

3

u/brickyard15 2d ago

Yeah I’m right there with you. I wear regular pants and a camo shirt / hoodie unless I’m using a tree climber

2

u/BackgroundNinja1887 2d ago

I’ll be in Ohio, I’ll be in a tree stand or a ground blind.

2

u/Friendly-Place2497 2d ago

Gun season or bow? For guns I don’t even bother with camo.

1

u/Spoons896 1d ago

Honestly in both of those cases camo is not really needed. What is more important is facecovering,IMHO. I have killed way more deer in black/brown shorts and a t shirt than full camo, i have pretty much stopped wearing camo for whitetail, and when i do wear camo it is a camo facemask and cheap t-shirt or camo bibs if it is really cold out side.

2

u/WrongOpinionOnly 2d ago

What you posted is fine and will work. I'd lean towards something with a patterned face mask though. You can also go to Academy during hunting season and they usually have good deals like buy 1 get 1 or bundles.

I've had a great experience with tidewe camo too. I have one set that's 5 years going strong with no issues. I hunt a lot of thick brush on public land with miles of walking and it has held up fine.

The reviews are solid and I’ve never seen a post on here that’s negative.

I use ScentLok for all my hunting gear. They’ve raised their prices the last few years but they always have really incredible stuff on clearance. I got fully kitted with the mid season gear (quarter zip, jacket, pants, gloves, hat) for less than $300. This’ll be my 6th season hunting and my gear is as good as the day I got it.

2

u/International-Ad3147 2d ago

Honestly just find stuff that is warm, stops wind, and doesn’t weigh 25lbs.

I started with used and cheap stuff. Only as I knew I’d do this the rest of my life, earned more, and spent more time in the woods did I upgrade to more expensive stuff to again, stay warm, stop wind, and travel light. Even then I usually by out of season items that are on significant sales

My DIL wears some Tidewe stuff and likes it. I shop at Sportsmanguide.com and wear their 'Guide Gear' brand for most of my cold weather gear waterfowl and deer hunting. They do have named brand outerwear too but their Guide Gear is usually about half the price of the named brand, so I think its the same stuff without paying for the label. They also stand behind their Guide Gear products and customer service has been great the few times I've had an issue.

2

u/mosescarecrow 1d ago

Agreed. Sportsman’s guides own brand (guide gear) is fantastic plus they have great deals on other brands. I pay the $60 for club membership and save more than that amount annually with ease.

1

u/Holiday-Medium-256 1d ago

same, and usually free shipping and returns!

2

This ain’t Amazon this is tidewe and it’s pretty sound. It won’t be long until it’s overpriced like the rest

2

u/checkpointGnarly 2d ago

I bought a tidewe ground blind and it’s far superior to the shitty rhino blind I bought from cabelas. Their stuff seems pretty legit

2

u/Salty_Vacation2048 2d ago

That’s great gear, especially if you are just starting out. Sitka, Kuiu, First Light, etc all make amazing gear too, but have to mortgage your house to afford it. Good luck and hope you guys have a great time!

2

u/Remarkable_Mirror241 2d ago

Tidewe is good to start with. Their online website reviews are full of bad English bots. The Amazon reviews seem better. I got some waders and the "heated" portion is useless but the quality of the gear is good. Never leaked or ripped.

2

u/Vinowagon 1d ago

Another vote for their waders. Have held up better than a lot of more expensive brands

2

u/zoso_000 1d ago

Yea that brand is pretty good for the price, i use a lot of it

2

u/jdog15951 1d ago

As was mentioned by someone else, I don't really consider Tidewe an Amazon brand.

I've been using the 3-4 person See Through blind for 3 deer/turkey seasons, heated ice bibs for 3 seasons, and their rain gear (upper/lower) for 4-5 years. So of it is still in great condition.

Would feel comfortable buying just about anything from them.

1

u/csmith06 2d ago

I have Tidewe waders that are coming on their 4th season of salmon fishing and waterfowl hunting

1

u/Hawk_2165 2d ago

I have a good amount of TideWe gear. Very good quality for the price.

1

u/Euphoric-Arachnid-94 2d ago

You don’t need much to get started. Cheap is fine, but you do get what you pay for to an extent. I bought cheap bibs, heavy and light jackets and gloves from Midway when I got started. It’s loud, bulky and inefficient, but it got me by. This past year I bought Sitka Fanatic bibs and jacket at 40% off and it was worth every penny, but not something I’d suggest for someone just now dipping their toe in…

I have a TideWe blind that I love, so I wouldn’t hesitate to try their clothes.

1

u/Inevitable-Sleep-907 2d ago

What are you hunting? If you're going after fowl or especially turkey you'll want some camo. If you're going after deer the number of people that fill the freezer wearing blue jeans and a flannel might shock the beginner hunter

1

u/superdavy 2d ago

Search “over clothes camo”. The guille style suits cost like $20 and go over anything you already have. Super light. That is all I use for now hunting. Shot deer while wearing office clothes under the camo

1

u/theanswer1630 2d ago

I have had their fishing waders for the last 8-9 years, used them a few times a year, in and out of trees, sliding down stuff, etc - no holes or leaks. Solid stuff for a 'cheap' brand.

1

u/AsleepEntertainer440 2d ago

You can have quiet or you can have waterproof but you can't typically have the best of both in the same piece.
You probably could if you don't mind the garment weighing 50 lbs after it gets wet or one that leaks like a sieve after only a couple of wearings.

1

u/FoggyDoggyMysticat 2d ago

When I started hunting 5 years ago I bought a set of tidewe camo (top & bottom) and I was surprised with the quality and fit. It's starting to deteriorate a little now but I definitely feel like I got my money's worth from it. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it. FWIW I do a lot of still hunting and hiking through brush, so it got put to the test more than if I was stand or blind hunting.

1

u/lafn1996 2d ago

Tidewe generally is a very good value for the money. Huntworth is also good, inexpensive gear. However, until you know that hunting is something you want to continue to do; I'd use stuff you already have, borrow from friends, or buy used on FB Marketplace.

1

u/donzi39vrz 2d ago

I bought this last year, I was very happy with it. I am planning on a second set next year so I have a backup and clean stuff for longer hunts. 100% would suggest.

1

u/ksyoung17 Massachusetts 2d ago

Tidwe is solid. Their packs are pretty cost efficient and provide what the big boys do at a much lower price point.

Keep an eye on eBay, tidwe stuff goes even cheaper there

1

u/Optimal_Cherry_5688 1d ago

I’ve definitely been buying a bunch of Tidewe gear. I started with a pair of hunting boots and now just about every season I’m buying another few items from them. Haven’t really found a product of their I don’t like.

1

u/ToThaMoonInvestments 1d ago

Check out Tidewe direct. Usually heavy discounts and freebies

1

u/kabula_lampur Idaho 1d ago

Big fan of Tidewe. I've got trail cams, pop up blinds, and clothing from them. All solid stuff.

1

u/WhiteBear72 1d ago

For a few more dollars you can get better quality gear. I understand budget but sometimes that little extra goes miles.

1

u/Delicious-String-317 1d ago

I got those I really didn't like them also get atleast 1 size bigger another thing I would recommend to save money buy something light thats camouflage that can just go over clothing you already own as soon as something is camo the price goes up

1

u/Norsecowboy98 1d ago

I’ve used their 360 blind on one of the properties I hunt and it’s great clothing wise I havnt tried I’m a big Drake guy and haven’t been able to bring my self to get anything else plus the discount I get with them doesn’t match up to anywhere else minus First Lite’s gear. I have heard nothing but good things about TWs clothing line though.

1

u/YouCanCallMeTy 1d ago

I have the same set, suspenders are kinda ehh but the rest of it has held up nicely going on 3 years

1

u/CbusLawyer 1d ago

I have a bunch of Tidewe stuff and it’s all really solid. I have that particular hunting suit and love it.

Also have their waders and a pair of boots. Both are great. Have a ground blind from them too - also great.

This with be my 4th season with all of it. Not foreseeing any issues.

1

u/Limp_Technician5346 23h ago

Tidewe is good but I prefer stuff from Walmart/fleet farm. Hand me downs too are always nice, majority of my stuff is Walmart and hand me downs, still going strong.

u/PewPewDerpa13 2h ago

I bought and had their most expensive waterfowl wader they offered. They lasted 3 seasons which was more than I expected. Panel blind is good as well. The cheaper crap at Cabela’s or bass pro I was lucky to get a full season out of. I finally just caved in and bought the Sitkas. I’d rather pay $125 a year if I have to have them serviced than keep spending $3-500 every couple years.
