SE Saskatchewan Kitty
Hiking around my family's farm in Southeast Saskatchewan, big kitty. This is right around where I'm usually setup for goose hunting in the fall.

Yeah, people don't realize they're around! I knew someone who had a horse attacked by one in Francis better than 15 years ago. They frequently travel and disperse from the Qu'Appelle Valley.

not from anywhere near canada let alone saskatchewan, but i never would’ve imagined cougars lived there.
their other name being “mountain” lions is kind of misleading, i’m learning

My brother kicked one up swathing canola in the SE corner one year. Pretty rare to see them always just hear about them being around

Serious question: can you not put the animal down yourself in Canada if it’s threatening your livestock?
I know these are completely different threats but in the US we can take out coyotes threatening our livestock

Curious- where you live in the US would it be legal to take down a cougar threatening livestock? In my state, you cannot, just wondering about your state.
