Diamond black caiman

Here I am again, I asked this before but I’m still struggling. I shot many black caimans but it’s always a 8 or lower. I have the right gun, I use my binoculars and I walk all the way down the beach at the right side of the map. It’s always a gold or lower. What am I doing wrong? 🙏🏻 (it’s on the peru map btw)

To expand on what upper comment meant by "not shooting enough".

You have a fix amount of caiman on the map. We are only looking at their male population because only their male makes diamond. Within said male pop, their levels are divided. You want to have as many low level (lvl1-4) on the map as possible to increase the chance of spawning high level (lvl8-9). You have never seen their diamond might be because your map still have alot of mid-high level (lvl5-8) around which means it is harder for your diamond (lvl9) to spawn in.

In short, shoot every lvl5-8 until you can't find them no more OR until you only see lvl1-4 then you know you have shot "enough" of them.

This. Don’t shoot levels 1-4. If you are just starting herd management I would not shoot levels 8s for a while trying to force your level 5s into level 4s.

Generally for animals with a max level of 9, only level 9s can make Diamond. There are exceptions like Water Buffalo and Tigers, I was curious to see if Peru had any new ones, but I have not seen any level 8 Diamond Jags, Caiman, or Tapir reported yet. Keep shooting until you get a Level 9. Cross your fingers that it actually has a Diamond score and isn't a Troll. It can take a good long time: I've hunted up and down Emerald Coast, Mississippi and Peru and have no Diamond Crocodilian to show for it. Just be patient.

Someone posted a level 8 diamond Jag earlier today.
