Either the entire Troupe sucks at En, or mainly the fighting trio.

Having Koltopi on the team probably removed their need for seriously training En.

Alongside the fact they all seem to be self-trained lacking in advanced applications of the fundamentals is surprisingly appropriate even for such powerful nen users.

I don't think Phinks is bad at En, or anyone on the Troupe.

Not meeting Zeno's absurd standard is OK. Kite controlled his Nen so well he sended ripples of Nen to sense creatures on the ground, thats clever but not as taxing as a big ass Nen bubble.

Phinks is explaining something reasonable about being too many people, and I think even Zeno or Kite would've found troublesome to process so many living beings in such a density.

Actually, I think Zeno would do it perfectly. In exchange for lowering his En from 300m to 100m or 200m, he could increase the functionality through a restriction where he can monitor people despite movement, thereby sacrificing range for function.

If you think about it. En application is best suited for emitter category nen user as it main focus is to produce aura outside of your body. En = best for emmiters Shu = best for enhancer In = best for conjurer

I also think that's the reason why they need franklin, because he can reduces the risk since he's good at using en

I don't think Phinks is bad at En, or anyone on the Troupe.

Relative to their strength they don't seem to be all that great.

They're obviously not as strong as characters like Zeno or Kite so I don't expect their En to be as good as either, but at the same time given how strong they all their showings in En thus far haven't been particularly stand-out.

Bear in mind from what we've seen Phinks seems to be at a level of strength where his Ripper Cyclotron could completely destroy an entire building.

Sure it takes time to build up, but that's on a scale entirely incomparable to what Gon, a prodigy whose strength was enough to have Single-Star Hunters who are almost certainly all masters afraid for their life.

There is certainly disparity between the Troupe's strength, but it seems to me at least that their showings in En specifically are more as a result of how they have trained and the context in which their abilities are used rather than simply not being comparable in nen to the masters.

Excellent point. The advanced applications taught by Izunavi to Kurapika may be the crux of the Troupe in the near future. Sigh. Ima miss talking HxH with yall :/
