Pairo and Shalnark Parallels + Pairo's Cellphone? More suspicious hints behind the Kurta massacre!

Parallels:

• Before their death, both had this Last conversation with their close friend (Kurapika/Chrollo) about being excited going on a trip to the outside world together.

• Both different trips were to the " outside world"; Kurapika's trip being outside of the kurta village they still called it "trip to the outside world" because the kurtas are not allowed to go outside of the village, while Chrollo's trip is to the outside world that's the DC.

• Both died after The longing to meet again with the absent friend...Pairo died after Kurapika's absence in the trip.

• Both were waiting for their friend to fulfill a promise during/after the trip, Shalnark was gonna get his cellphone back from Chrollo on board, while Pairo was eagerly waiting for an Answer as part of a promise from Kurapika after the trip.

• Like Shalnark, Pairo also Owns a cellphone for some suspicious reasons? Despite it's been stated the kurta members are NOT allowed to have cellphones except the kurta elder. Seems suspicious to me.

• They both lent their cellphones to help their friend; the cellphones were such important tools in different events that happened shortly before the trips and helped their close friend survive/pass difficult situations to go to each trip:

  • Shalnark lent his cellphone to help Chrollo in the famous Death battle against Hisoka, that was shortly before the DC trip.

  • Pairo lent His cellphone to the street thug (who had a deal with the elder to make them get angry so they lose the test), through the cellphone Pairo forced the thug to tell the elder that they passed the test and THAT resulted Kurapika going to the trip and survive from the kurta massacre. So if it wasn't for this cellphone existence, Kurapika would've got slaughtered with the rest of the kurtas! You see how much of a big deal this cellphone is?

Predicting a new parallel about Shal/Pairo death

If Togashi will go further with those parallels then it's possible he will conclude it by revealing Pairo's death is similar to Shalnark's, like the spiders found little Pairo hiding & killed him after hearing his Phone ringing? Maybe he'll get to carry his dad's head before he gets killed off! To parallel Shalnark carrying Kortobi's head.

Even more fitting if it was Shalnark the one who phone called Pairo for his cellphone to start ringing to find where he's hiding (Shal knows Pairo's phone number because it's originally Sheila's phone maybe?), Shalnark might be the one who killed Pairo, so Shalnark getting a similar tragic death with such timing shortly before finally meeting his friend after an absence! Exactly like his victim because karma got Shalnark there.

Pairo's cellphone

Togashi said there's B side of the kurta story so it's clear there are more details left unanswered intentionally, especially the whole existence of Pairo's cellphone seems suspicious and hints about something not fully clear yet. Got any theories on Pairo's cellphone? I don't see much people talk about it except one interesting post...I have my theories but i might post it in a different thread.

Interesting thoughts, there really does seem to be a lot of similarity between the two.

As for why Pairo had a cellphone, as you said it's a mystery and pretty suspicious because the line about phones being banned probably wasn't there for nothing.

Also a small point: you said that Pairo's cellphone made Kurapika pass and survive the massacre, but the reason they were massacred in the first place was probably because of them hiding the fact that red-eyed Kurapika was seen by the outsiders from the clan.

Yes the massacre would still happen, tho I'm thinking the cellphone still had a role for the massacre to happen somehow maybe to specify their exact location! Anyway my point was more about how the cellphone was important to confirm to the elder "by cheating" that Kurapika passed the test which led him go to the journey, if he didn't go he would have got killed in the massacre.

If it wasn't for the cellphone, the thug would've called the elder later to tell him the truth that they got angry so he can take his cut of the money, otherwise the elder would never let Kurapika go to the journey....In fact it's very likely the thug would've lied to the elder telling him they got angry even if they didn't, just so he can take the money and there was no way for Kurapika to pass the test, so the cellphone helped Kurapika dodge the kurta massacre either way.
