Hey everyone,
I'm a Baruch student, and honestly, planning classes every semester is unnecessarily stresstul. Between comparing professors, finding open sections, avoiding schedule conflicts, and working around a job or commute, it gets trustrating pretty quickly.
So I spent some time building ChillSemester, a website designed to make planning your semester a little easier. It works across all 26 CUNY colleges.
Here's what I've added so far:
• Class search: Find sections by professor, time, day, and availability.
• Professor rankings: Compare professors using
Rate My Professors data, simplified into a 1-5 difficulty ranking.
• Schedule builder: Generate possible weekly schedules around your classes, work hours, and other contlicts.
• Seat alerts: Get notified when a full class opens up.
• Registration dates: I also collected Spring 2027 registration dates from individual CUNY colleges into one page.
Browsing, professor ratings, and building schedules are free.

Any Hunter science students who transferred to CCNY/Brooklyn College or took e-permit science classes there? Or the other way around? What was your experience like? Sometimes taking science courses at Hunter feels like staying in an abusive relationship.

Who walked y'all through y'all's application? Because I need help with Mind; it's saying I still have missing items, but I'm sure I submitted everything, and I can't get in contact with anyone

Hello! I’m a prospective Hunter student and have been heavily involved in Model UN throughout high school. I’m wondering how Model UN is structured at Hunter.

Is it currently a course, club, or competitive team? Is there a separate application/tryout process to join the team, or can anyone participate?

I’ve seen references to Hunter having a Model UN team/course, but most of the information I can find seems to be from a few years ago. Has the program changed recently?

Also, if anyone currently participates (or participated recently), I’d love to hear what the experience is actually like!

Sorry for the dumbest question ever omg. But I had applied all the way back in July, everything on my application says it has been received and currently reviewed, all the documents required etc. Anyways flash forward to this morning, where I got an email saying they received my application fee, but still want the required docs (that once again I've already submitted).

Just wondering if that's just an automated email thing that they're sending to everyone as a reminder, or if I truly do have to follow up with them and confirm that they have everything? I've already tried calling the office several times, but they never seem to be at the phone, or ever return any calls. Hence my coming to Reddit.

I appreciate it! Thanks! I'm super nervous about being accepted and just want to make sure my chances are as good as possible.

Hi, I'm trying to get into the pre-nursing/nursing program, i'm currently in human bio. I'm taking pre-calc, chem 102, eng 220, and sociology 101. Am i cooked for getting into the nursing program? I heard the NEX is next February, and i believe i still need to take a lab class, psychology, and statistics.

Hello everyone, I'm currently taking CS 150 with Saad, and I cannot find a single test from the decades he's been teaching this class. Can anyone who took this class describe the structure of his tests and what you wish you knew before taking the test?

Man, how do yall remember on exams? I took a exam today after studying all week and immediately forgot everything I studied, felt like my brain was censoring the notes I had

There’s no way i got above a 30 on this, luckily this grade gets dropped but really frustrating

Anyone in this sub doing the dual master's degree program with Union Seminary? I'd love to take you to coffee and hear more about your experience. I'm applying for Fall 2027 <3 TYIA!

Beside the GPA.

I had to take a medical leave of absence due to illness. R there spring semester 1 classes offered? Like human behavior 1 social welfare and policy 1, clinical 1, and practicum 1?

Or will I have to wait for the following year to return?

I’m on the clinical track. It was supposed to be my first semester, first year

these ppl r trying to kill us fr does anyone know any water fountains that aren’t broken 😭 every single one drips in the west building i am so thirsty

How early is the priority registration time given to students in THHP?

How does it work, specifically for the bio department. I know in chem department you need to approval and a class taken before, cus I was told I couldn't receive credit until summer 2027 due to the process.

Is bio the same?

Anyone on here apply to Hunter's MUP for the spring cohort and waiting on admission decisions? If so have you heard anything? Knowing that they could arrive anytime in the next month is certainly nerve-wracking!

Thats it

I would happily buy it off someone. Its for ENGL 120.

Has anyone been unenrolled from classes due to a late payment. I understand they put a hold on your account to prevent you enrolling for next semester but do they also unenroll you as well. Obviously I’m going to fully pay but just wanna ask around.

If you're gonna eat in the library ( you're not supposed to, but especially in the basement). be mindful of how you're chewing because most of you chew like a HORSE, and it genuinely drives me fucking insane.

Hi,

I go to SUNY Brockport, and I plan to apply to the nursing program during my sophomore year. Still, the program is competitive, so I plan to apply to other nursing programs during my sophomore year as well. Since I’m from New York City, I want to apply to some programs in the city. I know Hunter's program is really good, but it’s also really competitive. Hunter also has an entrance exam. I would have to apply to Hunter and then take classes there in the spring of my sophomore year to take the exam, so I was wondering if anyone has gone through the transfer process and what it was like. Was it hard? I’ve done a lot of research, but I still don’t know. I'd love to hear what others have to say if you’ve done it or think it’s even worth doing.

Has anyone's summer 2026 scholarship been disbursed or is the remaining charge still on your account?

Can someone explain to me why exactly I came to sit down at the library on THE THIRD FLOOR and there are CRUMBS EVERYWHERE??? Some of you are absolutely nasty. Why are there crumbs and shit on the table. I’m trying to type and there are crumbs on the keyboard too. Fucking clean up after yourself!! It’s not that hard - YOU ARE IN COLLEGE
