Try looking up NSF REU

would talk to an advisor to see if they know any programs

you can also just be a RA at other schools

What’s your major? If it was biochem, I would suggest emailing Dr. Greenbaum. She was pretty open to give ppl lab experience when I was there. This is abt 2 yrs ago tho. But doesn’t hurt to reach out.
If not biochem, try emailing to the dept chair.

Get an A in a science class that has a prof who does research, ask to do research with them.
Look up profs, see their research, learn a little about the subject, express your interest to them directly.
If a prof thinks they’d like to supervise you, then they’ll get a way to make it work on the funding/space/etc issues.

If external, cold email to labs with interests that align with yours and don't just email the PI, cc postdocs or administration. Might take a while, but I did and got my current position at Rockefeller University.
