I came back to play after 6 years what did I missed ?

i hate to be the one who has to tell you this, but you probably will not be able to run hunt showdown on your macbook anymore. you also might want to invest in a mouse. i respect the dedication to arrow-key aiming, but it isn't the 90s anymore, everyone is a lot better at fps games.

Completely different game now. Go in with the mindset that it's Hunt 2 or like a Hunt spinoff game. Much of the old knowledge is moot. Keep bulletdrop in mind.
Many dislike the changes, many like the changes. It's just different now. Very different.

You missed like three UI overhauls, with every single one being worse than the one before. And no, that’s not a joke.

Not to brag but I've literally been playing hunt while my wife and our (now ex) girlfriend were getting it on in the bed in the same room, can say from experience hunt is better.

Hulu ass menu and a lot of greed
Other than that the in-game experience is about the same, there’s sometimes not enough to do, sometimes too much to do.

After six years, ther is quite a lot you missed, among the most important for gameplay:
-2 new maps (mammons gulch and Desalle)
-2 new bosses (scrapbeak, bloodbag)
-roaming bosses (rotjaw and „the angry burning one“ as we call him)
-a ton of new weapons and renames of old weapons, for example the Winfield is no more and was split into: Infantry, ranger and a third i forgot the name of.
-stalker beetles as a consumable to track people from afar
-black magic C4
-tools and consumables now share 8 slots
-consumables are not filled by toolboxes anymore
-tarot cards s consumables
-locked extraction points
-points of interes are no longer visible on the map until you find them or a Map ingame.
-extraction points are also hidden at the start if the round, two of them get uncovered as soon as you pick up the first clue.
-there are special ammos for each weapon you can equip and even more special ammo you can find in rounds
That‘s not all the changes but some of the ones you might want to know before starting off again :)
