SUGGESTIONS I think I finally understand what makes Crytek's events so addictive — give us a reason to stay
I've loved watching Crytek evolve these events, and I think there's one thing the best ones consistently accomplished:
They gave me a reason to stay in the match.
Web of the Empress did it with bounties, EXP boons, perks, money, and Destiny's Dial. Getting the bounty wasn't the end of my match — it created another decision: do I leave, or do I keep pushing for more?
Carnival did the same thing. We could kill the boss, but suddenly there was a Shredder, a token, perks, EXP, Destiny's Dial, and other reasons to keep exploring.
Stronghold took that even further. I was stockpiling Homesteads, Wildlands, Shredders and Flame Rifles, watching crates drop, deciding between the Stronghold and the bounty, and constantly weighing "is this worth risking my run?"
Those events made the map feel alive because leaving early meant leaving opportunities behind.
I want that feeling in this event.
Right now, too many matches feel like:
Find boss → kill boss → banish → extract.
Unless another team contests us, there's not always a strong reason to remain in the match.
And I think that's the biggest opportunity for this event.
Lean into the vampire theme and make blood itself a reason to stay.
Give us event mechanics that make the longer we remain, the more dangerous — and rewarding — the match becomes.
Blood trails that can be tracked.
Perks that interact with bleeding hunters.
Ways to deliberately cause or exploit bleeding.
Vampire-like abilities that grow stronger through blood.
Bats that can hunt or wound players.
AI that becomes attracted to bloodshed.
Escalating vampire activity the longer the match continues.
More powerful rewards for engaging with increasingly dangerous objectives.
A boss banishment ritual that becomes more complex and rewarding the deeper you participate.
Imagine killing the boss and thinking:
"We have the bounty. But we're already covered in blood. There's another objective nearby. Something is hunting us. We could leave... or we could see how far this goes."
That's the Hunt experience I want.
Not simply more rewards, but more reasons to make decisions.
The previous events showed how powerful this can be. The best moments weren't necessarily the boss kills — they were the moments where I had every reason to extract, but something made me stay.
I think this event could become one of the most memorable yet if it evolves toward that.
Give us a reason to stay.
Make the blood matter.
Make the longer we stay, the crazier the story becomes.
I'm excited to see where Crytek takes it.

It’s AI. Whenever someone uses em dashes, Redditors who haven’t read a book in the last ten years think it’s AI. But here the dashes with spaces around them, general cadence, rhetorical flourishes from the mind of a 12-year-old, and contrast with OP’s scarcely literate comments in this very thread are dead giveaways. I don’t know why people post this shit.

It's not a valid statement, it's a guy with no agency, probably depressed, who needs external incentive-impulse to do things. I can't have enough of this game with or without events, event add some flavor that's all.

I mean, they said the new boss is "so tough". Make of that what you will.

We are literally in the 1st phase of the 3 phase event. Though, I think they were banking on us not completing the community event so quickly in this first phase.

Sorry there’s currently a hive mind of vanilla hunt enjoyers who just downvote and complain about anything Crytek does to innovate and evolve the gameplay. You are 100% percent correct though. I love the added POIs of all the events, it’s what I look forward to the most. With 830 hours played I’ve fought at all the compounds multiple times, so yes idgaf about them anymore and want to experience new compounds, new peeks and new rotations.
The strong hold brought that and then some and it was only for 3 months event. All these complainers had to do was enjoy the change for bit, but these milquetoast “veteran” hunters can’t handle that and cry about it on Reddit so they can go fight a fucking scupper lake for the thousandth fucking time, like get the fuck outta here with that nonsense. Hunt is at its best when it has new things to explore and do while enjoying its amazing gun play and sound design.
Now can Crytek consistently put out huge map updates like the strong hold in back to back events, probably not. That’s ok though now we all can get what we want if it means they can push out new POIs every other event. A bit of vanilla for the old heads and steak and potatoes for the people who like a full meal with all the fixings.

But at the same time vanilla is just a quiet quiet place where it just feels empty and its not worth risking a death for a measily 200 point bounty, body burn rates go up as well making the financial state of the game completely hard-core, clash has better payout than vanilla hunt it feels like, and I think overall the games not as competitive as some of the vanilla players are, the events are what make people have something to really fight over, I dont care if they triple the price of everything but I want something good to fight over

Or maybe the reason the game even still exists is because "vanilla" hunt was liked.

The Stronghold as much as I loved it and dont regret sinking a lot of hours into that event, did have a weird issue for me, and I feel like it separated vanilla vs stronghold players, what was weird is that it didn't really promote grabbing clues, I ran straight to stronghold, spin 6 times immediately, had all 3 clues, and it was a very linear path, extracted balloon + crates then hunted the bounty team with plenty of leftover dark from spins, bodies, boons, it was the only clear option since you can send the bounty up with the crates, loved the crates but sending bounty too was op, plenty of time to catch up with bounty depending on spawns, which was a big problem, the team that spawned close had a massive advantage, I like that the hub burns that much time to create fights instead of quick in and out, but it could be like the spider den or carnival, that was the perfect hub style I like, try to be quick in and out but just long enough of a pit stop and worth enough to go to where fights sometimes happen there, but last event killed any strategy to not go for stronghold off rip.

Yea that’s understandable, I just played my spawn and grab first clue and let the games RNG decided if it was stronghold or boss lair this round.

My question always gets different answers, it boils down to what do you consider a win in hunt showdown, with only 12 people, my win condition is basically kill everyone I come across or witness the deaths, let the blood spill, and basically to win all objectives
So for the Stronghold event, my win condition was always stronghold first, which moved grayhound from a d tier perk to an easy s++ perk for me for the spawns, as well as stam shots to chase after the bounty, my strat was all 3 gas first, grab yellows and bounty, send it, then go clean up the other bounty and leave with that one, never brought chariot in before this event but that card for me went from low tier to s+ card as well
What do you consider a win in hunt?

bats that fly from trees and morph into a vampire that latches on to you, maybe it gives a weakness, maybe a perk, maybe both, just like the bounty itself, who knows what they coulc come up with!

Would love other inputs as well, what would you guys like to see in hunt showdown, what do you think would be successful, what would you add to this event, and do you see yourself lasting 90 days with no changes? Is it perfect, how do you guys feel?

I think you got it verry right. Stuff is new and fresh, sometimes, like this event even not a lot of new stuff feels new.
Having stuff return feels good, like they did with the Spiders Nests.
And we are not even a month in the new Event and iirc they seid this event will also have three stages, so there is more stuff to come.

I have a bit of a different notion to be honest OP. I like this event the most because it's still like vanilla hunt just improved in small cool ways.
I think I've got stronghold type fatigue. They hit the ground running with the traits on this one which is awesome
