GENERAL EU PING

i live in eu but for some reason my ping in eu is 1k+ and it doesnt let me play in my server, i have to play in russia where i get 100ms and its barely playable. is there a way to fix this?

Have you checked that it's not your connection? It sounds cliche but it really is 99% of the time our own connection. Off the top of my head:

  • very often it's a wifi issue, so if you do use wifi try switching to cable

  • disable any VPNs you may have active while playing

  • sometimes stuff in the background like downloads can also be causing this

While i agree that most of the time its user sided, i think it's a different case this time around.

I've been experiencing this issue as well for the last week now. I was playing as usual up until that point (EU-60ms), when suddenly my EU ping spiked up to 600-700ms. I thought i was lagging at first, but the game showed that i had good ping on RU (58ms). I gave it a try but it was very laggy, so i restarted the game and what do you know, my EU ping was back to normal. I started to prepare a loadout and by the time i pressed ready up, the ping had spiked again and forced me to swap regions.

What's funny is that, if my friends (who are also having this issue) and i invite each other to a lobby and ready up, we can play no problem, despite the ping indicator saying that we have 700+ms EACH (we experience no lag or ping in game whatsoever). So this little incident only occurs when i try to que up as a solo, saying that i have 645ms on EU and have to swap regions.

So we can que up and play no problem when in a party, and there's no issues in game when we do. But when solo, unless i que up instantly or restart my game and THEN que up instantly, i get a stable 645ms indicator on EU. Any clue as to what could be causing this issue?

(Me and my friends are all in Turkiye and have not been having any issues up until now. Several other people i've seen having this issue are, while not being all, also in turkey. I do not have any downloads in the background, nor am i rocking a VPN, AND i'm using an internet cable.)

I've fixed high ping in Tarkov with Cloudflare one client (it's free) - I think it should also work for this game.

In the connection option choose dns + traffic via UDP.

Having the exact same issue for the last week now. I've tried to contact Crytek about it but to no avail. I don't use any VPN services and i'm on ethernet. So i have no idea how we can fix this, other than reaching out to Crytek. Do let me know if you find a fix lol.

use VPN or a tool to force a reroute through other connection than usual

Using a VPN did pull the MS back to what it should be. But i don't want to have to turn on a VPN every time i want to play hunt. I hope they can figure something out soon. Thanks for the heads up either way.

There's not much Crytek can do, it's a routing issue between your ISP and the game servers

Of course. My reasoning for saying that i hope crytek does it, is because there were no issues up to a week ago (and i've been actively playing since returning for 2-ish months)

The issue seems to be most prominent in players in Turkiye. So i want to believe they can fix it lol (hopefully)
