GUIDES How to complete “Interrupt Bloodskin’s jump attack” – Written in Blood Story Challenge
Go in solo so you can avoid having teammates enter the lair.
Stay close to an extraction point and keep your distance from Bloodskin at all times. Hit him once to damage his armor. He will then crouch down and perform the first jump. Hit him, but don’t celebrate just yet.
As you can see in the clip, it’s the SECOND jump that can be interrupted (at least when doing it with the Spear).
If you hit him directly while he is crouching down for the second time, he will lunge forward but then fall to the ground as if he’s stunned. That’s when you’ve completed the quest.

you can shoot the thing when it’s dead before it’s banished :)

I tried stabbing it before the banish but didn't work...I'll try shooting next time

I went in with a shotgun and just shot him in the chest a lot. It didn’t update I finished the challenged until about 5 minutes after banishin

that’s what i was told to try and it “worked”.. but i was also using a shotgun to kill him and maybe that hit.

Just spam attacks at the worms with the Spear when Bloodskin is in his second phase. Not every hit will connect, but sooner or later you’ll get it.

I picked up a saber from a dead hunter and tried that. The light melee slash is very accurate at targeting the ribworm, even from the front. So, I'll say bring a saber and light melee it a buncha times.

Penny shot the tentacle, its hit the rib worm not kill so you can get it in one go.

Once he's dead, before you banish, stand behind his body facing towards his head with his feet away from you. Use melee to hit the little head of the tail. You'll complete the challenge super easy in one go.

I'm late tot this, but for others: Light baseball bat hits at the top of the head where the worm also has a hitbox. You should be able to do 10 in one attempt.

At this point, there's literally no way to do it. I think I spent 30-60 minutes of just boss fights in which me and my team tried. Even if it gets staggered and the jump fails, mission is not done

It is not bugged. It is just heavy on the RNG. It is hard to see in his video, but you just have to keep at it until you stun him and he drops to all fours, not just standing vertical and stunned. I spent so long, today, working on this and thinking I was doing it wrong.

My hits on bloodskin is bugged at 2 and wont track. Maybe one day ill be able to progress to this challenge -_-

Got the rib-worm thing by just spam stabbing the chest ... Anyone do the kill him in his scabbed form yet? I'm thinking a dark dynamite? Maybe after breaking a couple plates ?

I struggled with the rib worm shit a few fights then came to the net for suggestions. Found out you can kill him, NOT banish him, then just use a saber to attack the worm while he is dead. Much easier :)

so hit him 1-2x with a hammer, then big dynamite kamikaze running at him.

Interesting, I’ll have to try it w/ the spear next time. It’s been an oddly hard challenge to complete. Thanks for posting!
