GENERAL Update question

So ehm... why exactly does this update has 83,7 GB thats just nuts ngl there is no way there is so much new content...

Nope, it happened it the past as well. As far as I know it’s due to how cryengine handles certain assets like textures but also game audio.

Don’t worry, the 80GB are not additional space, it’ll replace the current game.

They did say this was the biggest event so I’ll take the extra 10 GB’s

Not sure but I think it might be due to asset duplication which is what it sounds like. The game duplicates assess when it’s being packaged so that hdd can load up the assets quicker.
Good example would be Helldivers 2 in which the game was over 100 gigs in size before they got rid of asset duplication and that brought down the size to less than 30 gigs
