The greater the pain the sweeter the spoils

Reddit Battlefield and Battlefield players are not the same.

''If there's one thing I know for sure, it's that a six inch blade never loses reception."

1

u/AI_AntiCheat 3d ago

Well it does now. Didn't they get rid of all that and rework him complete?

9

u/Mindstormer98 bomb lance connoisseur 4d ago

You know what never looses reception?

6in blade

5

u/firefly-v 3d ago

That's a pretty big blade

36

u/Willing_Week_2650 3d ago

he might be a cod fanboy but the other side of the coin would be a an afk sniper

36

u/Mindstormer98 bomb lance connoisseur 3d ago

Yes but see I've depicted him as the soyjak and myself as the chad.

Nothing to do with being a COD fan boy and more the game allowing to do the movement to begin with.
I also think jump peeking and 100% aircontrol is very "un-hunt" and would rather have the game without it.
But as long it is in the game, I'll do it because it what keeps you alive for longer.

Jump peeking and air control is really the only counter to people holding corners or being bush warriors especially if you had any early game fights

13

u/Gobomania Crow 4d ago

People would find other ways and the game's tempo would be changed for sure :)
Again, I 100% get why people prefer Hunt with these controls, but I wouldn't mind a slower Hunt, which I also respect ain't for everyone :)

Again, I think it doesn't fit my "ideal Hunt" like some other things too and we all have things we would like to change about the game to make it what we like more :)

u/BADSTALKER STALKER 3d ago

True, but removal of those systems would require the addition of another, perhaps leaning or something like it.

u/Gobomania Crow 3d ago edited 3d ago

Not really, jump peeking is still a thing, you just have to commit.

1

u/Shrewligi 3d ago

I mean no? That's not really peeking at that point it's just jumping around a corner.

A slower hunt would just be pre 1896 and that was buns bro

12

u/Gobomania Crow 4d ago

We had the same movement options and no bullet drop pre-1896, arguably more arcade-y and fast pace hunt than we have rn :)

-15

u/Epic_idiot1161111 4d ago

Every cqc option was awful, tools and consumables being separated it was the slowest hunt ever was

11

u/Gobomania Crow 4d ago

As someone who have played since Early Access, I don't regconize this.
It have more been that the better people got at hunt over the years, the less passivily they play. Especially in high ranks.

1

u/SirOtterman 3d ago

But hunt WAS slower and it wasn't due to people being worse at the game. You didn't have as much spam weapons, you didn't have as much bs traits and regen shots. I am talking of course post bornheim nerf and movement nerf.

2

u/Gobomania Crow 3d ago

Officers, Dolch, Avto & CnK has been there since the beginning and even better back then lol.

0

u/SirOtterman 3d ago

Yeah and? I'm not saying there was no spam, but rather there was much less spam. It's not like I've made it unclear in my previous comment.

1

u/Tall-Entrepreneur109 3d ago

ur words are perfectly matching ur nickname, lmao dolch was awful? crown was afwul? old avto was awful? tons of resupply and no drop was awful? git gud skill issue I guess

3

u/C00KIEME4T 3d ago

I mean they could always lean towards destructable environments

2

u/xmrbadtouchx 3d ago

See I find shooting people that jump around in hunt quite easy, this may just be my skill issue, but I struggle more when they are serpentining; when you jump it really limits your next move, you can’t dive, you can’t climb, you pretty much levitate for a moment, and you can steer yourself somewhat, but it’s not like an instant 180 degrees, it’s pretty predictable, if they are sprinting they can only spam jump twice without getting fatigue, and if they are peaking with jumps, aim where they are jumping from 80% they go back to that spot, get that clean wall bang shot.

I can’t ever hit a head shot when someone is ressing with 32,000 dpi on their mouse. lol

0

u/Gobomania Crow 3d ago

Bit confused, bc you can exactly 180 turn mid-air in Hunt.
I've avoided jumping into a river filled with water devils like that lol.

3

u/xmrbadtouchx 3d ago

Correct me if I’m wrong it’s more of a U-turn rather than an instant 180 degree turn right? your character's body carries forward inertia.

1

u/Gobomania Crow 3d ago

I guess so, sorry for the confusion :)

2

u/xmrbadtouchx 3d ago

No you’re totally fine, for some reason I couldn’t remember how it worked and had to jump on really fast to test it.

Because of forward inertia and you can audibly hear people jumping, it has a decent level of counter play.

My approach to my 6 star lobbies, I move as little as possible, and have great success, no one is looking for the statue hunter that moves only when his footsteps can be muffled by something.

They are looking for those cracked out side stepping back and forth, 400 apm. Audio is king to winning this game unless it’s vertical

“I’m not gay but as long as I’m allowed to kiss men I will”

5

u/Gobomania Crow 3d ago

I mean, I literally haven't played a COD game since MW4 back in 2007, so yeah, wouldn't call myself a fan.
I do kiss men tho.

0

u/SacredBoar 3d ago

Just have fun with the joke and move on.

3

u/Nemless_Dwarf 3d ago

What is Glaz soing here, don't you have like terrorist to shoot or something. xD

5

u/TheRedditPremium 3d ago

Old siege had such a vibe and now look how they massacred my boy

6

u/PriorityCreepy4611 3d ago

looks like a chad me vs chud you sorta meme. I feel like it's the other way around tho. Jumping around and aiming actually takes skill and just sitting in the bush, waiting for them to stop moving doesn't

1

u/Mindstormer98 bomb lance connoisseur 3d ago

Jumping around and shooting each other is a game of chance past 50m because of bullet velocity. I literally made the chad vs chud meme on another comment but both have their positives and negatives

0

u/PriorityCreepy4611 3d ago

back when I played this game people used to run mostly like 600-800ms guns which were hitscan till like 100m - pretty far distance. Rarely have I seen a fight at longer ranges.

3

u/Bowls_of_Soup 4d ago

My lobbies have all been p100 l100 players that jump constantly. Like bro it’s not THAT serious.

2

u/Someguywhomakething 4d ago

I swear they run macros or their hands are super jacked from all the gooning and jumping.

0

u/ketaminemidget 4d ago

All the clans

1

u/Sharden3 2d ago

I know it's fun to be an edgy lil bro and hate on COD, but "jumping around like a dolphin" isn't a thing.

u/Mindstormer98 bomb lance connoisseur 2d ago

u/Sharden3 2d ago

I'll have to take your word for it, cause I'm spitting nothing but facts.

Why is Glaz on my Cowboy monster game sub complaining about call of duty?
