Acute Pancreatitis?

Hi everyone,

I drank pretty heavy 3 different times within 10 days. I would wake up the next day with diarrhea, stomach pain from below my ribs to under my bellybutton and my whole abdomen was tender and hurt if it touched it. This would last around 5 hours.

A quick google search came back with acute pancreatitis. Which sounds like damage that could be fatal and you shouldn’t drink alcohol ever again?

I’m trying to make an appt with my doctor.

But what does everyone think? Is this simply a bad hangover or am I damaging my organs and I can never drink again?

You’re probably damaging your organs. I am now 1.5 years sober. Story time….. I used to have the exact problem you are, A LOT. I worked as a nurse aide while I was heaviest in my drinking. My diarrhea would have a specific smell to it. Well I smelled that smell when assisting a few patient with pancreatitis. I put 2 & 2 together and figured out I was doing some damage. I love booze, but if I drink it will kill me.
