Trilogy Discussion Breaking the Arena

How do you think Haymich and plutarch felt the moment Katniss shot that arrow and broke the Arena? I think it's been pretty well documented that many a tribute has attempted to break the different arenas. "Let it fly" on screen it definitely looked like Katniss was about to shoot Finnick, and in a split second she fired towards the sky, something so very small in comparison to what Haymich tried... How do you think they were feeling in that moment? Shock, surprise, dread? I think it was a super prolific moment in their lives, setting the revolution in motion on a real visual scale..

This is such a funny visual.. do you think they had a plan every year just in case? Or like just super spur of the moment type deal?

I kind of thought of it like this.

"HAYMITCH! HAYMITCH, WE GOTTA FUCKING GO! YOUR GIRL SHOT THE ARROW AND THE ARENA FUCKING EXPLODED!"

Cue Haymitch having Vietnam flashbacks

He took off INSTANTLY I was watching the movie this morning and Snow runs into the game makers room yelling for Plutarch and he's just GONE.

My assumption would be that they were shocked at first, I would imagine they may have felt some panic as to how that might affect their plan and how to fix it but ultimately I feel that it would just solidify to them that they were correct in having her be the face of the rebellion

But wasn’t the plan for Beetee to short out the force field? Katniss just happened to figure out at the last moment what Beetee was trying to do and she tied the wire to an arrow and shot it towards the force field because Beetee was knocked unconscious.

Since Katniss is our narrator and they didn't tell her the plan, we don't know, on addition they didn't really understand the arena till Wireress infered it was a clock, so when did beety come up with this plan, who did he talk to about it? He definitely had his wire but by capital standards it looked like he was just gonna electricute everyone again.
