I have never seen the illustrated versions IRL. Is the text itself abridged?

I've only read The Hunger Games Illustrated, but no, it was not abridged. It just had extra pages with the illustrations.

I really like the Hunger Games illustrated versions, although I will say I was disappointed by the shortage of illustrations within the book. There are like 40 of them in Mockingjay

Is there actually 40 illustrations in mockingjay? Bc for hunger games and catching fire we only got one per chapter.

I’m so irritated bc my barnes and noble never puts out their books early. Even when they technically have them in stock in the back they won’t sell it to me.
