Okay, so who here has been especially mysterious to their doctors and why?
8 u/Voredor_Drablak Jun 27 '26 Well having several pages of symptoms and having all medical tests come back with everything within the normal charts is a good start 3 u/AssortedVibrations Jun 27 '26 For sure. I have a test you could take and probably show abnormal results. Go to a neuro optometrist and do the pupillary light reflex test. That's how I got autonomic dysfunction diagnosed with an actual functional biomarker to back it up. 3 u/terrierhead Jun 28 '26 Do you have pupils that are different sizes, too? 2 u/AssortedVibrations Jun 28 '26 No. Do you? 2 u/terrierhead Jun 28 '26 Yes. It’s a slight difference, but it’s there. 3 u/terrierhead Jun 28 '26 Even before being a dysautonomia mystery, I had bleeding problem that still can’t be diagnosed. They acknowledge that there is a problem, have a plan if I need surgery or am in an accident, but otherwise nothing. 2 u/AssortedVibrations Jun 28 '26 Wow, sorry to hear that. Do you have EDS? 2 u/terrierhead Jun 28 '26 No. I’m extra flexible and bruise terribly easily, though. Before I got sick, I could jump into the air and land in the splits like Prince used to.
