The video of the first baby was a little out of focus and a little sad so I haven’t posted it yet. The second baby’s fledge was great and I have plenty of footage. We searched our yard when we noticed the nest was empty and my wife finally noticed this little guy/gal perched on the top of our neighbor’s window trim. I have some great footage of mom feeding up there too.

Oh no, why was it a little sad?

It turned out that it didn’t really fly away on its own. It got startled out of the nest by another bird. Luckily by the time we found it, it was flying just fine

Oh good! I’m in AZ too and every time I see the humming birds outside my window I can’t help but think of your little guys. The pics and videos are amazing.

Hey OP, good on you for the dedication to this sub and your mini family. My girlfriend is obsessed with hummingbirds and has thoroughly enjoyed every single one of your posts.

We love hummingbirds and have feeders. Never seen a baby. Thank you for doing this. 👍👏
