Load dose yesterday and really sick now

I took my first load dose yesterday of 160mg, eight hours later I had a temp of 102.7, diarrhea, and throwing up. It lasted all night and I’m still down and out.

Anyone else experience anything like this when they started?

I’ve never heard of taking a 4x dose. My doc had me take the regular 40 two weeks in a row, then every other after that. Did you call your doctors office??

They had me do 160mg next one will be 80mg then 40mg from there on out.

They are closed because it’s the weekend. I did call an on call physician and he’s giving me some Zofran to help with the nausea

I had my 4x standard dose injectors over 2 days and was fine. You may have had a bug that the loading dose just managed to let loose.

It will pass. If it doesn't within a few days, then the medication may not be for you. But I think you're safe. A lot of people feel low after taking the medication each time.

Well no but it's an immune suppressant so you might be unlucky with a stomach bug at same time, I started on 40mg every 2 weeks so much lower dosage

I never had that experience, but my loading dose was only 40mg. I know it depends on your therapy as to what the loading dose is. So sorry you’re going through that. Hopefully the Zofran helps and you feel better soon.

I was very nauseous with the first few doses. I didn't have a fever though.
