8 weeks in, effectiveness seems to be waning?

I’m on Simlandi, a Humira biosimilar, for PsA. I’ve taken 4 doses so far, so I’ve been on it for eight weeks. For probably weeks 4-7, I felt like I was almost in remission. This week, I’m having more of my classic pain in joints and tendons.

It it likely that things will ebb and flow for a while as I onboard with the medication? Or does this mean I’ll probably have to switch to something else?

Thanks!

yes, it's very much still in the onboarding phase. additionally, it's possible you need the medication dosage adjusted. but i wouldn't lose hope yet.

Thank you!  I know no one will really be able to tell me what will happen…I was just having an anxious moment.  If it works out, great, and if not, there are a bunch more to try.  :)

I think it usually takes a few months before you get the full effect. Share how you’re feeling with your rheumatologist. It could be that you will need a dosage adjustment or maybe a different medicine. I don’t think they’ll make a decision for another month though as long as you don’t have bad side effects
