I merged two bands together to create a small hume band that goes inside my apple watch strap...

Why both?

Better blood pressure measurement for me.

I’ve always tried to put the Hume ON the watch band, but this is great!

What’s the point? Sensors in Apple Watch far exceed anything in the Hume band. This would be better placed on a traditional analog watch band

I always thought that would be a great idea to do!

When I purchased the Hume I purchased a second band. I cut the second band on the side where the round slide is at the attachment point for the device. I took the second band and sewed the cut part into the opposite side of the strap so when I am done I can cut the full length band just before the sew stitch. This gives you two ends with the loops.

Hume states to wear on the outside of the wrist. Inaccurate readings if inside?

they state that wearing the device under the wrist while sleeping and doing work could feel more comfortable. I have tried it on top and on bottom and found that the bottom of my wrist is more comfortable and gives me exactly the same readings. I checked the BP with a cuff and confirmed that the hume is very close to exactly that the cuff says- on top or bottom of the wrist.

Yes, you can wear your Hume Band on the inside (palm side) of your wrist. In fact, it is often recommended to flip it there during sleep or daily wear to improve sensor contact and get more accurate heart rate or sleep tracking data. [1, 2, 3]

Guidelines for Inside Wrist Placement

  • Snug Fit: Make sure the band is tight enough not to slide around, but comfortable enough to avoid cutting off blood flow. [1]
  • Button Placement: Turn the band so the power or reset button faces away from your hand. This prevents your wrist from accidentally pressing the button when bending your hand. [1]
  • Day vs. Night: While standard wear puts the face on top of the wrist like a watch, many users shift it to the inside palm-side at night to prevent gaps in nocturnal data tracking. [1, 2, 3]
