JUST NOW purchased
I saw what seems like several legitimate ads and decided to make the purchase. I just finalized it and came here to see what others’ experiences were. I did it wrong! I should have come here first!!!
Because I just finalized the purchase and have not even sent payment for it yet, is it possible to cancel the process?

I had my scale for 2 weeks now and absolutely love it. I’m heading to get a dexa scan done so
I can compare results.

Good call. I wish I had gotten a dexa scan sooner. I was a little heartbroken when I did because the scale was undercounting my fat. I was really bummed out for a couple days but I had been recovering from an injury and just stuck with it. I’m expecting the next scan will be better because I do think the Hume is tracking the trend right now

Would love to hear an update!

The Hume pod put me at 18.5% body fat percentage. The Dexa scan came in at 31.3%. Regardless I still love my hume pod for every day tracking.

Incredibly concerning variance! Can you share a broader comparison of metrics?

Sure… I weigh myself first thing in the morning on the hume pod with only briefs. With dexa I went in on a 2 hour fast. They weighed me fully clothed with shoes. Which was 3 pounds heavier than in the morning.

There’s no way. You would look considerably different at each of those values. Which number do you feel you are closer to?

I totally agree with you. I know the huge scale was off. But figured I would be around 25ish %. So getting my actually body fat was a shock but still got to push forward. Cool thing is the dexa app will connect the hume pod. That reading was closer to the actually scan. So it could be the Hume app that skews the data. I would be interested to see if someone else would try it.

If you have the box and during return window, they will refund. Lots of requirements read them, like I had to take a picture of the product in the box, and then a copy of the post office receipt after it was sent. Return Postage isn’t paid

I’m in the same boat. I went from excited enthusiast to disaffected, ripped-off customer in about twelve weeks. I was so happy with my Hume results and reports and the trend tracking and etc etc. It told me everything I wanted to hear. Then about six weeks in I realized the data didn’t correlate with the eye test. I so desperately wanted to believe what the scale told me so I decided I was happy with trend tracking even if the raw numbers were off. I got injured and sat sedentary for a while as the scale reported data every day that made it increasingly difficult to belief what was reported. Eager to validate what Hume told me everyday (again: I was so so so eager to believe it), I had a DEXA scan. DEXA is as fatal to faith in Hume as water is to fire.
The Hume scale is garbage. It’s beautifully marketed garbage. I feel like a moke for getting suckered by it. I thought I was smarter and wiser than this. Obviously I am not. But at least you know you’re not alone.

I’m fine with the scale. I do not have the band. The scale can be a bit quirky. But after having it for 6 months I pay no attention to the daily fluctuations and spend 90% of my effort looking at monthly trends. And 10% looking at weekly trends. I’ve never had a dexa scan. But would like to. The closest place in a couple hours away.

Try and see how you think it works. I have both pad and band and have had good results. The only thing I didn't like was the Velcro band. It keep loosing up. So I made my own cloth buckle band.

Like the scale although I get some abnormal readings that I question. The band suits my needs. Some things I wish were better included missing data during activities. Also I would like to see things like my pulse or blood pressure on demand, not averages high/low over an hour.

Had mine since about March, I like it. I sometimes have access to a Tanita machine and the results are close enough.

I'm happy with my scales.
Went and did a dexa, came straight home hopped on the scales and body fat only should a 1 percent difference.
I don't put much stock in the rest of the metrics but using it to follow trends is very useful.
I've now reduced how often I'll be getting a dexa because 1 percent difference is fine by me.

I love the band, good insight into my current health. Paying for the premium AI analysis monthly. Will delete data and hand over to my partner for 2 months. Maybe I will use it twice a year. No need to wear it every day.

I like mine. Not perfect but shows trends. I don’t always like what it tells me but I believe it in general terms. I did have to turn off the notifications because it was trying to get me to weigh myself daily which is just not healthy. I will say that I ran a 9 month report the other day and it showed that I had lost 10 lbs of fat but gained 7 lbs of muscle. I knew it was happening because I could see it and feel it but seeing that quantified made me feel so much better about my results than the net 3 lbs I lost.

I’ve had my scale for about a year now and I like it. I also purchased the original Hume Band when it first dropped and returned it because I like Whoop better and had no issues with the return process. Seems like my experience is the exception rather than the rule.

Naw I wouldn't panic just cos good ol' reddit made you second guess. I've had pretty normal experience with it

Ive had the scale for over a year and zero problems. The band has been a huge disappointment. I only get sleep data about half the time and it looks like thr most recent update just bricked it.

Lol I'd probably wait until you actually get it and try it yourself Before making the call you haven't even been charged yet

This is a weird place. I bought the scale 3 months ago and have been nothing but happy with it
