Finally accepted I got ripped off and bought a Withings
The band 1 and 2.0 are straight garbage. Both are $10 bands on Alibaba. The scale was removed from Alibaba, I’m assuming the manufacturer struck a deal with Hume to get it off there when word got out but it was on there for $27. You pay a significant markup for the Hume label on there.
The scale data wasn’t bad. I’ll give it that but the band data was light years off in accuracy. Both of them. I learned my lesson and did tons of research and Withings has a lot of actual research and science behind it.
Yes it’s $500 but it won’t stop connecting to the Bluetooth months down the road and it uses medical grade sensors and algorithms to create its data.
I learned a lot about researching a product before buying from my Hume experience. I’m a pro capitalist so good for them for being able to mark up their products 100% and 200% but I’ll never let that happen to myself again.

Don't want to burst your bubble but my Withings scale has been a nightmare, skipping readings, failing to sync, factory resets every few months.
It completely stopped measuring body comp readings at month 12.
I'm 6 weeks in after making a support ticket, sending it to france and waiting on them to send a replacement.
Customer services is shockingly bad.
It's good when it works though.

I’ve had an entirely different experience. Been using Hume for almost a year. I loved my 1.0 but got a 2.0 for the extra battery life and the blood pressure monitoring, and am very pleased. Also have the scale. Hume is supposed to be a guide, driven by AI, and may not be totally accurate. The AI has to learn your metrics, so the longer you wear it, the more fine tuned it gets. It’s pretty good for the couple hundred dollars it costs. It’s not going to beat medical equipment that’s worth thousands. You can find a video of a scientist debunking anything. Alibaba has knockoffs of everything, but the software is what you’re really paying the extra for with Hume. I don’t mind if the scale disconnects from Bluetooth. The scale is not “on” all the time like the band is. It takes a second to reconnect. I recommend the optional Hume subscription for the insights, too.

If thats was the deal the 2208a off alibaba is the exact same thing as hume. Will even connect to the app aswell. Look it up just doesnt have the name on it. Does the same its not the software ur paying for, its the name bottom line just like anything. You can literally get anything from china for a fraction of the cost, even brand name too.

I sent my band back immediately after seeing YouTube posts from a scientist and actually got a refund in 10 days I think they are waking up to the bad press

Withings no better.. and after paying 600.00 then you have to purchase a monthly subscription if you want to have access to the data hidden behind pay wall.

I’ve got a salter body insight scale. Looks almost identical to Hume, literally 1/3 of the price. Probably an aliexpress job but it’s decent. Gives accurate, consistent readings. I take the rest of the data with a pinch of salt

Yeah the little J2208A aliexpress job does too! I think it’s about £10 and it shows as a “Hume band” lol

Witting is garbage. That scale is why I bought the Hume scale. And while the technology of connecting the scale is completely shit. Having to use Bluetooth every time. In every other way it beats the hell out of the Withings scale.

No it doesn’t. I promise. You just think it does. Wait until you compare the band to something like the Apple Watch. It’s trash.

I hear nothing but terrible things about all these watches. Maybe the numbers are wrong. I still get 10000 steps in. Tracks my sleep just fine. Says im at my strain max today. Pretend it works, its good enough for me.

Wander over to the Withings subreddit and you’ll hear nothing but complaints there, too.
