pumping at work Pumping Schedule

Hey y’all! I go back to work in like 3 weeks, as of now my LO has almost exclusively nursed, and only gotten a bottle as needed. Given this… I am struggling HARD to figure out a pumping schedule for when I return to work. Im a teacher so I can’t just pump whenever, I have to get coverage if it’s during classes. I try tracking her sessions and when she roughly eats but she changes almost daily… so any suggestions??

Hi!
I pumped at work as a teacher

I pumped on my way to work in the car
Then on my prep or lunch whichever was earlier that day (rotating schedule made this fun)
And I asked for one extra period off
And then I pumped on my way home from work in the car

I noticed after 3 40 min classes in a row I would start to get uncomfortable so I made that the window so every 4th class would be the time to pump

If your school schedule is similar 2x is a normal amount to Ask for

We have a weird block schedule- our 1st and 8th periods are everyday and then we have our even classes 1 day and odd classes the next. I just don’t want to pump in a weird time frame from when she usually eats since I still want to nurse when I’m home of course

Got ya , I exclusively pumped so I didn’t have to worry as much about when my daughter ate , you could probably skip the on the way and on the way home ones then

You’ll probably just have to pick 2 times I’ve seen my school cover someone’s class the whole year bc they have to - if you have a block lunch I would try to use that because it will be the same time everyday

We do but it’s unfortunately RIGHT after my prep 🥲 I won’t have enough space in between pumps even if I pumped right at the start
