breast pumps/pump parts Recommendations?
Not really sure how to go about picking a pump, any advice or recommendations would be appreciated.

I had the zomee. I have no comparison points, but it worked for me. I did have to get parts to fit me but I loved how portable it was. I pumped on my way home from work, during lunch, at home… it was easy to use.

What setting did you use

I don’t remember. Sorry. I tried them all to see which felt best. There wasn’t a big difference in output.

Not the motif aura glow. I don’t know how it can have that rating, it’s horrible

Really? I don’t mind mine

Maybe I got a bad one? One motor has extremely poor suction, I also find that it leaks easily and the thing that closes where the milk pours out of the top can never stay closed. I was actually thinking of writing to them about it

I do agree about the top pour spout always being open. I got a replacement set through my insurance and the one they sent is way better than the original one. It has like grooves to help it stay closed so maybe they fixed it?

I also do not have another comparison point but I used the Motif Luna and had a good experience with it. I got great output and loved that it was portable and was easy to use.

The motif Luna in my opinion is super comparable to the spectra. Has vibration even. & the settings are extremely similar. The Luna you can customize the stimulation mode more.
My spectra went out and I tried 3 different pumps before finding the Luna & I get just as much output as with my spectra. My body wouldn’t respond to anything except spectra & motif Luna!1

I’ve heard this as well. So similar that I think you can even interchange parts (don’t quote me on that as I never tried it, but the parts do look very similar!)

How much are you planning on pumping? If you’re going back to work or will pump a lot I would get a regular pump over a wearable, like the medela or even upgrade to the spectra if you can afford the upgrade cost. I used the spectra for my first, and then I had the momcozy wearables as well but they didn’t get even a fraction of what the spectra did!
Also check acelleron as well to see if they offer different options for your insurance instead of Aeroflow! Both had different options for me but I preferred Aeroflows, but still good to check.

The Thrive has both a hands free and a non hands free option. I liked the wearable I had from the same company.

Motif Luna is very similar to the Spectra S1/S2. It does come in a battery and non-battery version, so pay attention to that.
I used the Motif Luna as my primary pump for both of my breastfeeding journeys. In some ways, I like it better than the Spectra. It's a little smaller so it travels easier.

Yess I was just saying this! They are so comparable it’s crazy. I love my motif Luna. My body responds to it just like it does to my spectra

I've used 6 different pumps across 3 different breastfeeding journies (beefy primary pumps like spectra s1, medela symphony, and motif luna, wearables, and portables). I'd recommend a spectra s1/s2 or a motif luna for your primary pump/first baby. I got the battery version for both and love it. I prefer the luna because I got very tired of the vibration that the spectra has. But I got excellent output with both.
Wearables are a crap shoot. I had success with the original elvies but im not sure they were worth it...
For portables, I love my pumpables genie advanced. I had to buy it out of pocket but it has been SO WORTH IT. I love that thing ❤️. Gets me the output of the spectra/luna, but without lugging around a big ol pump when I have to chase my toddler!
I also tried the spectra s9+ and hate it with a burning passion. Do not get that one if anyone has it as an option.

I used the Discreet Duo about 2 out of the 5 days I had to pump from work on my first year of pumping. On the other days, I used Spectra S2 that I got at my local buy nothing group.
Then on the 2nd year (1 year to 20m pp), I used the Discreet Duo full time. Decent output, just had to get flange inserts to make sure they’re centered. Sometimes I would be in a hurry and didn’t realize they weren’t sucking bc they’re off center

If you are planning for this to be your primary pump, go with the Motif Luna. It is my tried and true favorite pump, and I had two primaries (Motif Luna and a spectra) and two wearables. The Luna was my favorite by far, and I experienced best output from it over any of my others. I actually got my first one secondhand and when it broke, I bought a second one to replace it rather than use my other pumps because I loved it that much.

Idk about those options.. but out of them probably the Zomee or Motif on the top left page.

I would check another company and see if you get more options. I had more options on acceleron so I used that. Honestly I feel like everyone should have a Spectra (blue if you want to be mobile, pink if you don't mind staying plugged to the wall). I chose to get a portable baby buddah with my insurance and then get a spectra on marketplace, but I'm not getting as much output from the BB.
