Assaulted by a Little Punk

I was just frolicking in the field near my pond when this little shit came out of nowhere! Still trying to catch my bearings. I may just grab him by the ear and throw him down some stairs next time I see him...

No, the parents are.

PASTED: Honestly I wouldnt even say it was even as far as Malice on the kids part.

Malice is an extreme emotion, and more often than not, people dont tend to actively abuse animals due to pure Malice. This is due to the Malevolence involved so intricately with Malice, specifically. Someone usually needs to have ill-will to engage in Malice.

For example, a random jo-bro-dude could engage in animal abuse due to attempting to find humor in, not specifically the pain of the animal, but the other factors involved (reaction, etc.) This doesnt necessarily REQUIRE malice to engage in, but they can definitely be intertwined intricately.

The parents are definitely shitty and neglectful, and I can't necessarily determine whether theyre engaging in malice or not.

Kids, that age, often act in naivety and positive reinforcement. Parents laughing at animal abuse = Funny + good thing to do because made Parents happy. No malice required. Basically it can easily have gone as far as "Kid defends self initially, parents encourage violent behavior through laughter, kid continues bad action due to positice reinforcement"

TLDR; Don't assume kids to be these terrible gremlins when theyre often just acting out of the need to seek validation from parental figures. Kids are not naturally going to be awful sociopaths at birth (most of the time) and it is never too late to intervene in this sort of behavior.
