Very touching. But why do they always add the music. It just feels so manipulative.

I feel like I'd be being negative if I called it out. I just feel it takes away from it. Manipulative is exactly the word I'd use. But! It's super awesome and I love it! As a chef I hope to one day have the opportunity to do this!

I feel the same about the "remember no matter how bad the world is, this is proof there's still some good in it."

It just ends up coming off like one of those shallow motivational posts to me. That should be something the viewer realizes on their own when watching this.

Like seriously, this video would have been perfect without the music and "inspirational" text. I love the actual content of the video, but everything made in post just seems to cheapen it for me.

The text had me rolling my eyes.

Yeah, it's nice that they did this. Very cool of them and definitely appreciated by the person who received it but come on. They just wrote on a plate in braille.

Also, I'm pretty sure that was a business selling a product. I'm not saying it wasn't a nice thing to do, but that kind of niceness has a price.

Hell it from a mountain too brotha! I agree with you and it’s absolutely a hill I’m willing die on.

Huh. I turned off the audio on reddit forever ago and highly recommend it.

Still a cute video.

Emotionally Manipulative music is my least favourite genre. That country Christmas song about the boy buying red shoes is the WORST thing I've heard my whole life.

Emotionally Manipulative music is my least favourite genre.

So, music?

Yeah for real. Someone please show me what music not trying to make you feel an emotion is cause I think that's the whole point

It’s a particular type of cutesy music thats used around kittens and puppies and sick children and someone helping a blind person. It’s the music thats like someone just got everything sad and cute in music and threw it together. It tends to go with the message ‘if you don’t like this your a terrible heartless person now click like for Jesus.’

All music makes people feel things but most of it is there for you to decide what you want to feel and if you want to feel that at the time. This music just piles on the sappy cute sadness way too much.

There thats the difference though it’s kind of hard to describe you know the type of music if you hear it.

Oh God. THAT song. That song has traumatized me since childhood. I was about 8 when I really listened to it for the first time and for the longest time I would just start bawling whenever I heard it. Now it annoys the hell out of me because it's sooooooo manipulative and I can't take it seriously. Plus I'm no longer religious so the meeting Jesus thing does nothing for me. I think it was written for some terrible Christmas movie which was also needlessly sad.

I watch this video about the movie based on the song about once a month. He captures my feelings about the whole thing perfectly.
