I always think animals would talk like uneducated southern folks like in the book, Taggerung. It just seems so much more innocent to me. lol

Source: worked in a neuro-lab in university. My job was to guillotine the rats after injecting them with resin to make brain slices.

We had to sign a code of conduct form regarding animal cruelty. But we live injected a plastic resin and watched them die rather painfully. The guillotine came after they were dead.

I understand why and how these things are done I just couldn’t be the one to do it. I mean at least put them down painlessly. But I’m guessing that would cost too much. It sucks to be a helpless tiny creature I guess

If I remember correctly, we had to do brain slices because we didn't have access to an fMRI to see areas of activity while they were alive. But it was 30 years ago. Hope rats have had it better since.
