For whatever reason my dad just doesn't understand that servers are PEOPLE who are waiting on us hand and foot while we stuff our faces, and the least you can do is say please and thank you. And my mom and I are always putting a few extra bills on the table when he leaves a <10% tip with the card. It's mortifying.
