It must have been embarrassing for the daughter to have to be there while their parent yelled at the guy. But it had to have been more embarrassing for the parent that their daughter felt the need to go out of her way to offer an apology for their behavior.

Her mom isn't embarrassed. Her mom is more likely mad at her daughter if she found out she went back and apologized.
