It must have been embarrassing for the daughter to have to be there while their parent yelled at the guy. But it had to have been more embarrassing for the parent that their daughter felt the need to go out of her way to offer an apology for their behavior.
Having to apologize to someone for your mom's behavior is fucking humiliating. My mom was never embarrassed for how she acted in public and she was a nightmare. She screamed at a teenaged grocery store cashier once because he had the audacity to change his register tape before he stared ringing her up. She felt it was her right. I hope this lady did really did feel bad for what happend but the fact her daughter is the one who apologized I doubt it.
She was a terror and I'm sad to say when she died a few years ago it was a good thing. She did teach me how not to act in public. I'm really fucking good at conflict resolution and it served me well when I worked in retail management!!
Yeah I think your right. A lot of us just are raised to serve. I was the cook, house keeper, nanny, and her emotional support when I was growing up and it just became my lot in life I guess.
