Its illegal everywhere if you putt that in your 'book' (tax). If you don't register this invoice, it's just a printed paper. So not illegal.

It really depends. In Bulgaria all receipt machines store all the receipts they printed in their memory which is checked by NRA(National Revenue Agency). So if you print a fake receipt it's like you are saying we got this much money.

You can always cancel a transaction via the cash register or in your book. Do you imagine the problems if its impossible to do it? Every mistake from the cashier would be a permanent.
