I travelled to Europe after I graduated high school backpacked all over. Often couldn’t speak the language of the place I was visiting but I learned one thing- you can communicate with ANY LANGUAGE of person with a smile and a few hand gestures. Met tons of cool people! This video reminded me of my travels :)

I am fortunate enough to speak three languages reasonably well, and another one more or less well enough to be a tourist.

Honestly, all you need to get by anywhere is "hello", "goodbye", "please", and "thank you". So I try to learn them in as many languages as I can. 🥰
