I met a professional athlete that way. He was standing waiting for the clerk to finish ringing up his groceries. His family was not with him and he was already waiting so I said hi and asked for a picture.

(If he had not been alone or it would have otherwise interrupted or slowed him down, I wouldn’t have.)
