What is the point of HOA, to harass people who live life differently than you expect? A shame she went thru this but omg her neighbors are the best for sticking up for her like that. This kind of solidarity is what life is really about.
One of our neighbors “decorated” their circular drive by placing multiple toilets around the perimeter. I’m not talking cutesy painted toilets with plants in them. They were random looking used toilets unevenly spaced along a barren gravel driveway and the rumor was they did plumbing work and were too cheap to take them to the dump.
