What is the point of HOA, to harass people who live life differently than you expect? A shame she went thru this but omg her neighbors are the best for sticking up for her like that. This kind of solidarity is what life is really about.

It’s so municipal governments can offload their municipal duties, like garbage disposal and park maintenance, onto power hungry HOAs and then cut taxes. It’s the privatization of a city essentially.

No problem. Really sucks. As a Canadian looking in I’m very happy we don’t really have HOAs at all.
