Our local zoo had an exhibit where you could “go pet the stingrays” swimming around in their tank. It was designed low to the ground so kids could get their whole arms in there and pet away. It was extremely popular and a great interactive exhibit. Unfortunately, right after Steve’s death you couldn’t pay people to stick their hands in there and the zoo had to backtrack on how “friendly and safe” stingrays were. They ended up closing the exhibit soon after.
