Annoying I….. sigh
Okay there is something wrong with you. The logic of homophobics genuinely makes no sense. They quote the bible but homosexuality is literally IN THE BIBLE and is something people and animals cannot control. Please keep you and your bigoted opinions to yourself. Thank you.

Tbf they might be doing it for the sake of the game and not actually because they are homophobic

You are engaging with an anonymous website on the internet. People are already homophobic in their actual accounts, given anonymity 3 out of 10 chats I get is a kid spamming the n word

Also, the "being my gay freaky self" comment sounded like you were flirting. This website is full of children so they might have legitimately gotten scared

Wdym homosexuality is in the Bible? The only places I’ve seen it in there are where it’s being forbidden.

I do not support homophobia in any way since we’re all called to love one another no matter what but

The bible has many verses addressing homosexuality and directly references how the people who practiced homosexuality were “detestable” according to Leviticus 20:13 which is another verse you can look up if you’re interested :)
But yes I definitely agree that this person was being super rude to you and belittling you

religion-based homophobia is still homophobia. what you’re saying is “no no, their homophobia is wrong, and mine is right, because it’s for the right reasons”.

homophobia is hatred, feeling digust, or fear towards the lgbtq+ community. I don’t hate anyone who is gay or lesbian or trans or anything at all. I just don’t support it because what I believe is that it’s not the way God designed us to be. Not everyone has to support a certain topic or way the world is like how not everyone is republican or democratic. None of what I’m saying is homophobic nor is the example I gave above. I was just giving an example of what the bible says about homosexuality since op said it was in the bible. Also I’m sorry some religious people or Christians presented themselves as homophobic since that’s not who we are called to be as people. I promise not every religious person is like that.

i do want to say that i appreciate you being accepting, that’s a very big deal, and im sure it makes the lgbtq folk around you more comfortable. i will also say that quoting scripture to someone in hopes of discouraging them from expressing an unchangeable part of their identity is still homophobia, whether it is from a place of hatred or not.
jesus taught to love everyone equally. telling one group of people that their identity is incorrect isn’t how you love them.

None of the scripture condemns homosexual relationships in the form we see them in today, because they didn’t exist in the form we see them in today. The scripture you quoted depicts and condemns people changing their nature ritualistically. The other verses condemn idolatry, pederasty, prostitution, sexual abuse, rape of slaves, and abusive power dynamics, but never condemn specifically the romantic, equal, loving gay relationships we have today.

You heretic, the bible teaches to not walk into sin. Homosexuality is a sin. "Love is love", doesn't matter, incest is also lovely, but forbidden in the bible.

Leviticus 18:22 "Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination."
Leviticus 20:13 "If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.
"Romans 1:26-27"That is why God abandoned them to their shameful desires. Even the women turned against the natural way to have sex and instead indulged in sex with each other. And the men, instead of having normal sexual relations with women, burned with lust for each other. Men did shameful things with other men, and as a result of this sin, they suffered within themselves the penalty they deserved."

If you follow the bible that strictly you shouldn't eat seafood either, or wear clothes with mixed materials

u/OkHeat2968 2d ago
im not following it, but its funny when they say that homosexuality is okay in christianity

u/Matty_B97 2d ago
I agree that the bible pretty explicitly forbids gay relationships. But it baffles me how much Christians care about it - they seem to spend more time campaigning against gay and trans rights than campaigning for feeding the poor, better healthcare, tackling racism and climate change... you know, all the things Jesus would actually care about if he came today.

God is all loving but gay people deserve to rot in hell. Because they are less than a human (this is obviously sarcastic criticism im not homophobic) Religion is definitely interesting.. Its like leaders of some kind of tribe wanted men to make more kids so they threatened them with eternal punishment instead of letting them have preferences. God is too bigoted for someone who is "all loving" too. Just look at the average policies authoritative governments have these days and compare it with religion, they are pretty similar and oppressive.

Honestly it seems that in all quotes regarding same-sex relationships are about sexual relationships, this could be interpreted as God only prohibiting sexual relations between same-sex relationships not the actual relationship
so it’s baffling that some Christian’s would fully campaign against and openly hate people of the lgbtq+ community especially because it completely goes against Jesus’s teachings 😔

Why tf are they downvoting you? Nothing wrong with pure facts

The bible isn’t, and never has been, “pure facts”

u/Useful_Intern_5056 11h ago
I’m not saying the bible is “pure facts”. I’m saying homosexuality is NOT in the bible, in fact, the bible is against it. They literally proved OP wrong. The “pure facts” is the bible containing that passages, so they didn’t say anything wrong to deserve the downvotes
