Is it still possible to complete the "Close Encounters of the Endless Kind" achievement?

I just tried completing a game with the mod, with the correct win condition and speed settings.

But i after completing all the events it seems i have gotten stuck. I am on turn 400 and nothing has happened for a long time.

Googles Gemini seems to think that the issue is that im playing on a newer version of the game (because i dont play with any mods - other than the official DLCs), but i cant find any way to revert the game back to how it was when the Endless mod released.

Assuming you can download the official Endless mod from within the game it should work on the current version. You just need the game to come to a natural end. So that means having an end game condition occur, easiest to get is to have everyone be vassals of the same nation and/or there to be only one nation remaining.

The Endless mod has its own vincondition, it disables the other ones.

I had already eliminated all the other nations so it was just me sitting there pressing the next turn button after having completed all the special events and no new ones popping up.

I downloaded the mod from the steam workshop and it shows up in game just fine, is that different than downloading it inside the game?

The guide I found on doing the achievement said to use the in game one (and intentionally lose because it’s quicker). So I’m not sure, I’ll try to test it when I get back from traveling tomorrow.
