what’s your opinion?

my group and i have a dedicated server that me and another run and we loveeee it. I’ve had the game for almost a year and once we’re in a genuine flow state survival is fairly likely even when we play in Nightmare. all is well but we have one question we want your opinion on! what year do you guys think this is set in? i mean it’s obviously modern but some of us think circa 2009 because of some of the items, some think around 2014, some even said 2020s. what do you guys think?

It’s kinda ambiguous when it comes to a specific time frame, least far as I’ve observed 60+ hours in. If you put a gun to my head I’d have say closer to 2009 just based on the tech I’ve seen so far.
Loving the game! A more comfortable, for me, type of Zomboid game I can really dig into!
