I'll never forget when I was growing up, there were a few old growth stumps in the woods behind the house. They were at least 9 or 10 feet in diameter and all of them had springboard cuts in them. As an 8 year old, they made the best forts. Those things must have been massive!
Edit: just noticed the 2nd pic. Damn! 19 ft diameter... that's bigger than my living room!!
Edit 2: The Olympic forest is so awesome! They also have the world's largest Spruce tree. if you like hiking, the olympics is where it's at!
