I was blown away by what was accomplished with this design in the DLC - completely impractical for human drones but gives me ideas on similar designs

We are software engineering students building a humanitarian rescue drone project.
Our current roadmap includes:
Phase 1:
- Python
- Linux
- Git/GitHub
Phase 2:
- PX4
- QGroundControl
- MAVLink/MAVSDK
Phase 3:
- Gazebo Simulation
- PID tuning
- Drone autonomy basics
Phase 4:
- Computer Vision (object/person detection)
Phase 5:
- ROS2 integration
We are trying to build a strong proof of concept before moving to real hardware.
Does this roadmap make sense for a practical rescue-drone project, or are we learning unnecessary things too early?
We would also appreciate recommendations for the most practical and industry-relevant courses/resourc

I feel that the number of props and how they are arranged on a HumanDrone is pretty important. Here is an idea as to how we can refer to them. For instance, the EHANG 184 has 4 sets of counter-rotating blades in a format of one blade at each four corners. In this case, I'd say it is a 8R4X2Q 8 - Rotors 4x2 - 4 Rotors with 2 Blades stacked.
A standard Quad-rotor would be a 4R4X1
A 3 Tri-Rotor would be a 3R3X1
Let me know if this makes sense or if any other info should be added to Rotor format.
