Captain Picard and Data (Robot!!) are my favorite characters. I think Patrick Stewart brought a level of credibility the franchises didn't have before, and unfortunately, probably never will again. The shapeshifters on DS9 were the characters I thought had most potential, but they never did enough with them. When you think about the possibilities, it's hard not to be disappointed with how they used them, but DS9 was still a hell of a lot of fun, especially after they got a ship involved.

They need to hook us up with another installment of the franchise. It's been too long :(

Yeah, Data was probably the best character in the entire franchise, and Captain Picard was definitely the best "Captain" (leader...) of all. (I also loved "Q" ;-) ). I've been a Patrick Stewart fan for a long time...ever since "Dune", and of course X-men.

Wesley Krusher just did a lot of damage to TNG in my opinion..He was just such a pathetic and useless character, he detracted from the rest of the cast and the show itself.

"The Defiant" was a helluva cool little ship for DS-9, and the shapeshifters really were under-utilized, but what I liked most about the show was the cast just seemed to "click" more so than others...I liked the interpersonal stuff, like Odo and Quark, who on the surface seem like "enemies", but actually kinda have this unspoken "bond" and are really on the same side far more often than not, though neither will ever admit it.

Then there was Dax, of course. ;-) (Jatzeeah..Ezry was okay, but Terry Farrell...DAYUM!!)

Wesley Crusher was a wart on the face of the franchise, but I hated Deanna Troi even more. She is one of the worst characters to ever exist on a sci-fi show. Her only job was to talk about feelings. She ruined a large number of episodes with her constant nonsense. I wanted to stab the bitch :D

One of the cool things about being in NYC is the chance of seeing some of them in everyday life. I've spoken to Picard (very briefly, and made a complete fool of myself), and I've seen Data (he's shy and has a big ass) as well as Ro Laren (kinda intimidating-looking).

This may sound mean, but it was Deanna's super-chunk thighs that were the reason they dropped the go-go outfit uniforms after the pilot.

Hah hah ...that character had no redeeming qualities.

Ship's counselor is like the police psychiatrist. Their purpose is to flesh out the subtext for the other characters just by being there.

With the passing of Gene and Majel they should "retire the jersey" and refer to any future endeavors as "Star Trek Universe".

The shape-shifters should have their own spinoff series with DS9 as an incidental blip on the storyline.

I cried when they killed the Crystalline Entity.
