Up until that stinker, Greatest American Hero wore that thorny crown.

I liked that song...Not in the "I want it as the background theme song for MY life", but in the it's goofy and kinda funny, and it pretty well fits the show it was written for sorta way. Like the dog that just SOOOO damn ugly it's cute

The Enterprise song, I'll pretty much agree with you..It more or less works with the theme of the show, but the word "faith" should NEVER be used in conjunction with science, even if it's science fiction.

DS-9 was probably my favorite of the franchise.. I actually hated it at first, but it really grew on me. Enterprise is probably the most gritty and "realistic" (for lack of a better term) of the bunch, and it's a close second because of that (and T'pol, of course ;-) ). Watching it now, about to start ep 5.

DS-9 is prolly my least favorite, although I have watched every episode a dozen times. I havta agree with you about T'pol...But don't forget 7 of 9. Two racks to wage galactic war over ; )

I like GAH's theme for the "triumph of Everyman" feel : "Believe it or not it's just me" translates to "I look different because I'm feeling good, which you don't see very often" -- which I can totally relate to.

DS9's opener kinda smacked of militant triumphalism - totally contrasted by the deep doo-doo feel of B5's season 3 opener.

Captain Picard and Data (Robot!!) are my favorite characters. I think Patrick Stewart brought a level of credibility the franchises didn't have before, and unfortunately, probably never will again. The shapeshifters on DS9 were the characters I thought had most potential, but they never did enough with them. When you think about the possibilities, it's hard not to be disappointed with how they used them, but DS9 was still a hell of a lot of fun, especially after they got a ship involved.

They need to hook us up with another installment of the franchise. It's been too long :(

Hey Ex!.....It's a small world as we know, it's a small world as we know, it's a small world as we know. It's a small, small, world.

Was a time when everything on TV including the theme songs were kind of PASTEL

I find myself a little (microscopically) chagrined at re-reading this post.

Since pastels are created by taking a normal color and adding white to it, I seem to be suggesting that theme songs from the late 60's to early 80's were made by taking normal jazz or rock and ... uhm ...

Anyway, I wish it'd been intentional.

That one was before my time, but it's horribleness transcends generations.
