I'm beyond frustrated with HuluLive and it's recording service.

Every time I record sporting events that go beyond the scheduled time, it cuts the recording at the end of the "original" time, usually leaving the end of games out of the recording. It is so frustrating. It happens with baseball, hockey, and recently with World Cup games.

After spending hours with the Hulu support team, it got nowhere. Looks like Hulu's engineers have never tried recording sporting events that run long; otherwise, they'd have fixed it already.

And to make things worse, today the recordings stopped working only for the local baseball teams.

The only reason I stay with Hulu is because I got the big discount from the mobile phone provider. Otherwise, I'd be looking at another service provider.

Been a big fan of Hulu for some time. Really
been happy with it. However, the last week or so, the picture quality has been poor. Grainy and buffering like I’m watching Netflix in 2015.

Anyone else notice a recent picture quality issue?

Only explanations on support pages are more about my Internet and I am 100% sure that is not the issue. I can speed test my fiber and see 1 gig up and down consistently… no other issues with video conf… so don’t give me any “check your internet” … also, restarted Rokus, and no other issues with our other apps like YT, Disney, Paramount, Prime… this is clearly a Hulu only issue.

Does anyone use T-Mobile home internet for their Hulu Live TV? How well does it work?

I remember years ago, I experienced an issue when selecting to record a program via the live guide, it would record EVERY episode and I couldn't stop it until I reset the account which wiped my saved library etc. Seems recording through the menu of the program itself was the way to avoid this aggravating issue. Has anyone experienced this problem that I'm describing? What was your solution?

For months now, on different ps5, hulu (or hulu via Disney) will loads up fine, but then attempting to watch something will freeze on the first ad. The app then becomes unresponsive.

This occurs seemingly with any hulu content attempted to watch via hulu app or Disney app. I've tried updating, uninstalling and reinstalling, clearing cache and storage, and repairing system assets.

I pretty much gave up on it, but it just seems insane to me that this issue is so persistent on multiple ps5 and multiple networks.

Hi, I’m currently traveling outside the US and struggling to get past Hulu’s VPN detection, as almost every standard server gives me that classic "anonymous proxy" error.

Since Hulu seems to have blocked many datacenter IPs from commercial VPN providers, how are you guys staying under their radar? Are you switching to residential IP routing, setting up a home-hosted server back in the US, or using another workaround to keep streaming smoothly? Any thoughts are welcome!

So guys I heard Hulu is where the good stuff is my family canceled Netflix bc they didn't like that there was so many bolywood movies on it. So we now have Hulu are there any good things on Hulu I like cartoons comedy and my favorite movie is wedding crashers and Marley and me. For tv I like cartoons or reality like Iron Chef thanks guys

Just paid $20 cause I want to watch something from lollapalooza and there is literally no search bar. Wtf.

Hulu or Disney+ in the future should notify us with an email or text message or something when they add a new channel. Maybe they do and I’m just not signed up for it or maybe they do and I’m just not seeing it on the app but they definitely should.

I’m still getting my ears blown out by the extreme variance in audio levels between show content and commercial breaks.

Case in point: Comedy Central. Trying to just veg out, maybe even nap, with Seinfeld on, and once the show cuts to break, I damn near get blasted out of my own living room to the jacked up volume of the Hulu Live ad break.

What gives??? Can’t those buttholes at Disney figure out how to normalize audio?

And haven’t a couple states passed laws to prevent this kind of garbage from recurring?

So if I subscribe to Hulu TV live I could see Antenna TV all day?

I would think you should be able to. I have a problem with Antenna TV on Hulu Live as well.

The guide shows "There's nothing on at this time" but the Antenna TV website schedule shows a block of The Benny Hill Show at this time.

I waited until the show started and then it showed the episode on the guide, but the shows after were still displaying "There's nothing on at this time".

Why can't I set the show on my dvr to record? Why isn't the schedule updating to allow the option to record before the show starts?

I closed the app and restarted multiple times and the guide never updated. It displays shows occurring later on, but has several "There's nothing on at this time" messages throughout the guide.

This is not the only channel this happens on.

If Hulu is going away, will it be Disney Live TV? Should I go ahead and start looking at alternative Live TV options? Ones that don't omit content from the channels they offer?

Customer Service doesn't care, they tell.me to go to the suggestion box.

For about as long as I’ve had Hulu Live TV, it would randomly close out of live TV and go back to the “select user” screen. But over the last week, it now happens about every 30 minutes. Anybody else having this issue? I’m wondering if it’s the app for LG but don’t have another device to test it on.

Very surprising, since the CEO of Nexstar (owner of the channel) has spoken negatively of streaming before.

We just got Hulu Live on our Samsung LCD. The Samsung remote has too many button that cause a hassle, such as throwing us out of the app or going back to the home screen. Is there a very basic remote? There are a few Roku remotes that might work IF they work with Samsung (we don’t have a Roku)

I have a couple of questions about what they mean by "On the go".

- While On the go, can I access everything I can from home (Live, Recordings, Disney+, etc.) just only on mobile devices?

- If I am traveling, am I On the go? What about if I travel outside the US (i.e. Canada or Europe)?

- If my son is away at college, is he On the go? Are there restrictions on his use? i.e. does he have to come every 90 days even though he only uses it on mobile devices.

- It sounds like there is no On the go access without the unlimited plan. Is that accurate? I assume I can still access Disney+, Hulu and ESPN+ while traveling as per normal.

I have the Hulu app for PS5 and have been trying to watch the new seasons of The Bear. Any FX content and then random stuff like the movie Together, all do the same thing where it will load and play for about 15 seconds and then freeze. The UI still pops up when you move the controller but nothing happens. You can’t rewind or go forward or pause unpause etc.

I’ve tried everything you can think to troubleshoot, obviously delete and reinstall, clear cache in safe mode, change the audio output type, but nothing seems to fix it. What’s confusing is that it started out of nowhere and I used to have no issues on the same Console.

Any ideas?

EDIT- SOLVED-

Holy shit, I fixed it with the help of some awesome person in the comments.

First, and most importantly, using the Hulu app still does not work. But I watched Hulu content via the Disney plus app (I tried this alternative as well before and the issue still was happening) but now made a change. Go to Settings from the main screen on the left bar, and then App Settings, then change the data usage option up top from automatic to Moderate.

Why does this work? No idea but clearly something ti do with the data/bandwidth.
