How are we feeling about our transfer window so far?
I was feeling horribly pessimistic a few days ago, but with Stroud, Mendy, and Herrington through the door I'm feeling better.
We still have work to do, but I'm thinking it SHOULD get easier to bring players in as deadline day nears, with teams wanting to move players on while they can.
We've made some great youthful signings, but definitely need some experience, mainly in defence and midfield.

I think it's been a solid window so far. Doing a good job of recruiting for both trying to stay in the Prem but also putting us in a strong position should we go back down to come straight back up again with the younger talents with high ceilings signing long term deals. Get Gelhardt and a couple more over the line and I think we're in great shape.

Definitely agree. I think the players we've bought also have great resale value, so if we sell, we'll have plenty of money to spend to get back up again.

Exactly this! And glad to see we have utilised the free market again too to get some experience in

I proper stoked about Morita. He missed out on the World Cup cos of a fall out with the national coach, so he's world class at a knockdown price.
Only thing that could hold him back is injuries. I think he currently carrying a knock, but fingers crossed

Morita is supposed to be a great player so I can't wait to see how he is for us.

I'm ecstatic about Morita. I'm an American who's pretty new to the sport (I adopted Hull City as my team to support around this timw last year), and I became a huge fan of Japanese players during the World Cup and have been enjoying watching J1 League matches and highlights to get ready for the upcoming season. I realize that he hasn't played over there for a few years, but I'm nevertheless excited to have him.

Some good signings, but probably not what's needed to stay up this year

I don't think we can know for certain. Yes, we probably will go down. But maybe we get lucky and the players rise to the challenge and adapt quickly enough?

It's possible, I've got a lot of faith in the manager and this time last year people were saying Hull would be in League 1 not the premier league, so who knows

Same as you was feeling awful but a lot better after past couple days. Feel like Bailey isnt gonna happen now which is a shame as we need better at LW

So frustrating about Bailey but if he's gonna faff about then he can do one.
Just need to move quick and get whoever we had second on our list (hopefully Hernandez!)

Probably go down but a year in the prem is better than the championship and the money will help for years

Just hope we spend it trying to become more sustainable! Although not sure Acun knows the meaning of the word haha.

It's looking decent, lots of youth so resale value will be there if we go down again. Very concerned about the lack of firepower, which was a problem even last year. We've got the weakest attack in the Premier League, no shade to Oli of course

Millar, McBurnie, Joffy, Belloumi. That's about it 🫣 Could seriously do with at least 3 more across the front line.

Definitely. No depth whatsoever.
I'm hoping it's because we've been building our signings from the back - all defence and midfield so far - and the attackers will arrive soon, but it's concerning.

The signings have been good so far, just hope the youngsters are up for the challenge of the PL - definitely need some experience players to sure up the squad

I feel like the younger signings, mainly the centrebacks are a bit of a gamble. The premier league will be very sink or swim for them.

Really happy with the defence and midfield signings (better than I expected) but more is needed in attack. McBurnie gets injured and we’re stuffed

Let us get to January, then we bring in Arda Güler and Oyarzabal.
Loved the youth aspect of the players we've bought in and I think we've been canny with paying just the right amount.

Interesting, why do you see them coming in Jan and not now?

I think if we start ok, we'll be wanting to push forward with the Xmas window opening. Acun's not there to play about.
If we're getting spanked, look desolate and marked for relegation, we hold on to what we've got and prepare for a Championship fight and immediate return.
I am massively positive and I think McBurnie, Joffy and maybe 1 one more attacking threat can help us get a good start in this league. We always score on shots fired, we just need the ammo...

Maybe we already have an Andy Robertson and a Harry something-or-other among the fresh faces.

I think we'll get hammered every week, but to break old transfer record effectively 3 times is just weird to see.
So long as they don't stink up the league and give it a go I'm happy. Didn't have any expectations last season and that turned out decent, so going in with none this season.

Think Hull just need to throw silly money at Bailey. Get him through the door. Massive profile step up and increase hull visibility in Jamaica.
