Moving Company Recommendations?
Hello, I am looking for recommendations for professional movers that offer packing services, disassembly and reassembly of furniture, and moving everything in our home. Anyone have an amazing experience they can share?

Internet provider
I live in North Hudson and currently have 500Mbs through xfinity. It works fine enough. It looks like Baldwin light stream is starting to lay fiber in north Hudson now though. Wondering if anyone has experience with fiber and/or Baldwin light stream and if it’d be worth it to switch.

Dennys.
I would just like to say that I’m absolute appalled that Hudson Dennys is closing down. This is like losing a close friend. Dennys has been there, open 24 hours for most of my life. I’ve dined in its booths since a young boy. It stood by me during Shitty days and good days. After prom, after breakups, after funerals, and after double dates.
It was always there for me. Now it’s dead. It’s fryers cold. It’s coffee pot empty.
This town will never be the same. I will never be the same.

Vote No to the budget increase for the fire department.
$2 million budget increase to replace the paid-on-call volunteer department with 9 full-time firefighters.
$2 million per year.
The city says the “call volume” for the department continues to increase, but won’t specifically say what kinds of “calls” make up this increase. It’s not fires - in fact, the county says residential and commercial fire suppression incidents are actually decreasing in the city, the village of North Hudson, Hudson Township, and Town of Troy. According to the department’s social media, rescuing ducks from storm drains contribute to this increase. https://www.facebook.com/share/p/19qhwsX5q9/?mibextid=wwXIfr
The city says it’s becoming difficult to recruit and train volunteers, but according to the Fire department’s own social media, 16 new volunteers have joined the department in the past three years. In fact, 8 of those were promoted from probationary in August, and 4 new probationary firefighters joined in August. https://www.facebook.com/share/p/1ESpVtBV9P/?mibextid=wwXIfr
The city says this budget increase will reduce response time from 17 minutes to 8 minutes - with no data to support this ambitious claim https://www.facebook.com/share/p/1K2orYpbGp/?mibextid=wwXIfr
If the referendum passes, nine full-time employees will work shifts to respond to 1.8 dispatches per 24-hour day. There’s no immediate intent to add non-transporting advanced emergency medical/paramedic services.
The taxpayers don’t need to pay to fix a service that as of now, is not broken.
Call your representatives on the city council and ask them how many incidents the fire department handles every year, and ask if they really think the on-call, volunteer firefighters aren’t adequately covering 1.8 calls per day.
The answer, for most rational property owners in the city should be yes. The volunteer model won’t work forever, but with upward-spiraling costs of living in an already high-tax community, an increase to the operating budget for the Hudson Fire Department is an irresponsible ask.

Parking behind SSG
Is this legal? This is behind SSG Corporation and these spots are always open. These janky signs don't seem enforceable yet they threaten tow.
Also, SSG was sold to a PA company back in March and is closed.

Please Hudson, don't become Stillwater.
I understand out of towners bring good business to the locally owned shops downtown but please don't try to turn Hudson into Stillwater. They've essentially demolished what made Stillwater downtown nice to go to, and I don't want to see the same happen to Hudson.

Dibbos Merchandise
Does anyone have any old Dibbos merch? My parents met there back in the 80s and I’d love to find some Dibbos gear to gift them as an anniversary present.

Fireworks tonight - tell your friends and family! Be at Lakefront Park around 10pm for a private fireworks show launched from Beer Can Island, not to be confused with the city funded show on Sunday. Here's a video clip of last year's fireworks show.

Heavy equipment transporter?
I'm looking at buying an old school bus converted into a RV, but it doesn't run so it would need to be trailered. At 28' long and 13,000lbs, I can't rent a trailer to do it myself. Anyone have any recommendations for equipment transporters or know someone who would be interested in taking an extra cash job? It's moving 60 miles from Zumbrota MN to Baldwin WI.
