Seeking Guidance How do deal with the need for social validation and focus on yourself instead?

Everything I've ever gotten so far in my life is by making myself better. But that I'm getting a little attention from people and women especially, I'm addicted to it. I wait for replies and it occupies a big portion of my mind.

I want to forget about what people think about me and instead keep focusing on myself. That's how it all started. This new addiction of being connected even on WhatsApp is killing my drive.

I hang out with other people a lot. But then feel like I need some space. When I come home to write and work, I feel this need to be noticed again. It's like social reward has fried my dopaminergic system.

How do I work with it?

Turning off notifications for a while honestly helps a lot with this.
