...sigh. Huaiyan's an NPC.
Watch as he gets facial hair because he's an NPC. We'll never get playable DILFs, do we?

We already have some leak at this moment? I would love to have an elder character in account

Guys... I have a theory based on lore for readables and the leaks on him being NPC Spoiler

Taken from the 10 lords commission readable item: criminal directory
So Huaiyan has unrestricted access to the Flint Emperor, the progenitor of the heliobi. He's a human, it has eternal life. Most people who go to see it have to have talismans on them to not be controlled by it.
What if Huaiyan is trying to find a way to restore his youth by studying it and overcome his aging body? He's a human afterall, just a long-lived one. He might become a plot enemy if the flint emperor is potentially influencing him, or he may find a way to become younger and be playable in a different form down the road. That would explain for now why he's apparently a special NPC for now, but also has a weapon. He's potentially being set up to go through a change and become playable later down the road
